Friends of Recreation to host meeting |

EAST LONGMEADOW East Longmeadow's Friends of Recreation's (FOR) Board-Elect invites all town residents to their next membership meeting on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Recreation Office, 328 North Main St.
The meeting agenda includes determining initial fundraising opportunities and establishing subcommittees to include fund-raising, membership, playgrounds, playing fields and new recreation initiatives. All interested East Longmeadow citizens are encouraged to attend.
The mission of the East Longmeadow FOR is to provide town residents with enhanced recreational opportunities by improving the quality of existing spaces and facilities and exploring new options. These capital improvements will be made possible through the cooperation of town residents, town government, local businesses, and FOR fundraising efforts.
