The Central/West Girls Ice Hockey team were gold medal champions at the Bay State Games for the third consecutive year. The Gold Medal Game was played July 17. Central/West beat Northeast by a score of 5-2. Local girls on the Central/West team are (left to right) Katie Landry from Agawam, Alexa Napolitan from East Longmeadow, Samantha Pion from Easthampton, Jackie Tavella from East Longmeadow, Jessie Stowell from Hadley and Katie Wrona from East Longmeadow. Five of the girls are teammates on the U19 New England Junior Falcons Girls hockey team.
