Kish named to MASCAC honor roll |
|
NORTH ADAMS — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts freshman setter Brittany Kish of East Longmeadow averaged 20 assists and 4.8 digs in a 1-4 week for the Trailblazers women’s volleyball team, including 21 assists and five digs in a 3-0 setback to host Hamilton at the Continental Classic to earn her a spot on the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference weekly honor roll on Oct. 23.
Parsons named to honor roll
BRIDGEWATER — Joe Parsons, goalkeeper for the Bridgewater State men’s soccer team, earned a spot on the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference’s weekly honor roll on Oct. 23. The junior from Springfield pushed aside 12 shots, including pair of game-savers in final the 13 seconds of regulation in the Bears’ 1-1 double overtime tie at Massachusetts Maritime.
Gorneault scores two in rout
CHICOPEE — Springfield’s Gianna Gorneault netted two goals to help lift the Elms College women’s soccer team to a 7-0 victory over Wheelock College in an Oct. 26 New England Collegiate Confer-ence women’s soccer game at Leary Field.
Ziggy sparks offensive explosion for Elms men’s soccer
CHICOPEE — Elms College sopho-more forward Ziggy Jonathan of Springfield scored three goals and added two assists as nine different players found the back of the net in a 13-0 Elms men’s soccer victory over Wheelock College on Oct. 26. Brendan Reed of East Longmeadow added a first-half marker as the Elms took a 7-0 lead into the intermission.
