LONGMEADOW — The Longmeadow High School (LHS) Hockey Booster Club will be hosting its annual golf tournament on Sept. 22 at Twin Hills Country Club.
This fund-raiser supports a varsity program that consistently contends for league, regional, and state championships, as well as a vibrant junior varsity (JV) program, which acts as a feeder program for the varsity team.
This golf fund-raiser allows LHS hockey to build a successful program that can offer the varsity and JV programs the opportunity to excel. Coach Joyce believes this year’s team will compete at the highest level, even after losing 12 seniors. The varsity team has several top players returning and had a strong JV program last year.
The cost is $150, which includes a deli lunch, one scramble format round of golf, buffet dinner, banquet, and prizes. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The function will take place at Twin Hills Country Club, one of the premiere private clubs in the area, for the third year in a row.
If someone wishes to assist the hockey program but is unable to attend, there are other ways to show support.
There are hole sponsorships available and the booster club is always looking for auction items or raffle prizes to enhance this event.
