Meet Curious George and more during LittleFest of StorytellingSPRINGFIELD The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will host "LittleFest of Storytelling IV" on Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event is free for Springfield residents. Activities planned for outdoors will take place inside if it rains.
The multi-cultural children's literature festival is sponsored by Cherish Every Child, an initiative of the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation; the Springfield City Library; WGBY Public Television for Western New England; MassMutual Financial Group; and the Horace A. Moses Charitable Foundation, Bank of America, Trustee.

Performances
10 and 11 a.m., 1 and 2 p.m. Visit with Biscuit from the popular book series. (Quadrangle Green)
10:15 and 11:15 a.m. Leeny Del Seamonds performs Foibles, Folklore & Fun!, a program of uplifting folk tales, including Latino stories and songs (Central Library).
10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Mary Jo Maichack, a minstrel storyteller, will sing and play guitar for children learning to love words (Science Museum).
10:30 and 11:30 a.m., 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Meet the one and only Curious George.
11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Irene Smalls will take you on a journey through the city with Jonathan and His Mommy and introduce you to My Nana and Me (Quadrangle Green).
Ongoing Activities
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Each child will receive a free book (Quadrangle Tent).
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Information Fair Learn more about services and programs offered to families with young children (Quadrangle Tent).
Noon to 3:45 p.m. Make a Curious George door hanger (G.W.V. Smith Art Museum).
The Springfield Museums are located at the Quadrangle at 21 Edwards St. in downtown Springfield. Free parking is available in the Edwards Street parking lots. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Science Museum open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and college students, $5 for children three to 17, and free for children under three and museum members. Springfield residents are free with proof of residency. The fee provides admission to all four museums and the Dr. Seuss Sculpture Garden.
