So why not spend a part of your Memorial Day Weekend in the cultural heart of New England, at Northampton's award-winning Paradise City Arts Festival, located again at the Three County Fairgrounds, Rt. 9 and Old Ferry Road in Northampton.
This year's show includes 250 extraordinary craftsmen and artists, a silent auction to benefit WGBY Public Television, sensational cuisine by Northampton's best chefs, foot-stomping jazz, craft demonstrations, PaintBox's interactive theater for kids and short comic plays for adults by New Century Theatre.
The music under the Festival Dining Tent includes the Charles Neville Band (Memorial Day), the 15-piece Jeff Holmes Big Band (on May 24), and the Jeff Dostal Quartet (on May 23).
Show hours are May 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and May 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for students, and children 12 and under are admitted free. A three-day pass costs $15. The event also features free parking.
