The Captain Wants it Quiet...Let's Start a Riot!

Each cruise line offers individual and exciting types of top-notch programs for all age groups!

A parade of twenty 3-foot tall pirates, dressed with patches and fake hooks march through the promenade, echoing their group leaders' chants at the top of their lungs. This is just one of the many scenes you'll encounter during your cruise vacation. Whether you have a two year old tot or a seventeen year old teenager, you'll find that the programs offered on board won't just keep your kids occupied, they'll make them never want to leave.

Each cruise line offers individual and exciting types of top-notch programs for all age groups. Most of the major cruise lines' kids programs provide activities for children ranging from 2 to 17 years old.

For the younger tots, most supervisors hold a four year degree in early education or recreation, so you can feel safe leaving your young ones for a couple hours while you spend the afternoon lounging by the pool. The staff is there to provide stimulating and educating, yet extremely fun events and games for your children. On top of parading through the main dining room on formal night in pirate gear, they play Jurassic Park Jr., have PJ parties, make bubble potions, and hold talent shows. Some ships even organize parent and kid activities so that when you do want to take part in the excitement, you can too.

Tweens have their own space onboard to chill out and meet some new friends. They participate in arcade challenges with PS2 and Wii tournaments, hold movie nights, host their very own exclusive pool parties, and "Dance under the Stars". Even when the kid's club closes, most ships offer 24 hour pizza or ice cream cafes for your kids to munch on some food and hang out with their friends.

And if any of this is sounding too "lame" for your teenagers, they have their own parties to go to too. Whether they want to drink mocktails at a hot tub party, sing karaoke, play "The Dating Game", or dance the night away in the teen club, it's impossible for them to be bored. Not only will your kids be guaranteed to have a blast, but you will too. The kids programs provide the opportunity for you to have some time to enjoy your vacation in the way that you want to, and on top of that they are free. So, if you're looking for fun for the whole family and a million thank yous from your kids, strap on your pirate boots and set sail on a cruise vacation.
