Unforgettable, That's What Our 2011 Euro-Cruise Will Be!

By Don & Maureen Anderson, Owners of the Cruise Store So far our cruise on the Mediterranean starting on October 8th is becoming The Cruise Store's most popular European cruise in over a decade! With a lead-in cruise only price of just $799 per person (double occupancy, plus taxes/fees) for a 7 night cruise that begins and ends in Barcelona, Spain, featuring two day long stops in France and three in Italy, it is no wonder that half the rooms sold in just one day when posted on Facebook. The first stop is Toulon, France in the beautiful region of Provence. The aromas and flavors are known world-wide; what chef hasn't heard of the Herbs de Provence? The next day we arrive in one of the most picturesque ports we have been to - Villefrance. Artists align the waterfront trying to capture the beauty in water color. This port is centrally located between the French Riviera city of Nice and the tiny, yet extremely wealthy nation of Monaco- both just short taxi rides away. Or you can take the train which is located close to the pier. Another option while there is to visit Cannes, home of the International Film Festival. The next Morning we wake up in Italy and the port of Livorno. From there visit Pisa to take that traditional picture of pretending to keep the Leaning Tower from falling. Or you could choose to spend time in Florence to see Michelangelo's David, or stroll the Ponte Vecchio which is lined with jewelry and leather shops. We are looking forward to going to the wine region of Tuscany and to visit the vineyards and do tastings. October is a perfect time for that. Wednesday we visit the Eternal City- Rome. The Colosseum; Sistine Chapel; St.Peter's Basilica; Pantheon; Spanish Steps; Trevi Fountain.need I add more? Walk on bridges built by the Romans over 2000 years ago that are still being used for commercial traffic. Sip a Limoncello in a piazza, or just people watch. You will leave this amazing City with memories that are eternal. Last but not least is Naples. Take a tour of Pompeii, where in 79 A.D. Mt. Vesuvius leveled this once port city. Your experience will be the closest thing to a trip in a time-machine as you imagine what it was like to live in this ancient city. Experience real history, not the edited version we had in school. Of course there are also the options of visiting the breathtaking Almalfi Coast, or taking a boat over to the charming island of Capri. Join us for this incredible vacation. Ask about the optional pre-cruise stay in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain. Call the Cruise Store at 413-525-9001 or email sales@cruisestore.com. Bon Voyage!!
