The practice of Aikido enhances

Aikido is an effective means of dealing with aggression which does not require great strength and does not result in harming others.

Aikido is a non-combative Japanese martial art. One does not attack or counter attack; one blends with the attacker in order to make one fluid motion. This allows the defender firstly to control the attacker and secondly to apply an Aikido technique, an immobilizing locking or pinning move.

Aikido is not something we do to someone, it is something we do with someone.

KEGANIN NO SENSHI AIKIDO is a form of Aikido developed specifically for combat veterans with PTSD and anyone who wishes to study without the risk of potential dangers inherent in most martial arts schools of study. It allows for arthritis, joint pain and other physical issues. It is taught gently and involves no throws, falls or rolls. The head instructor served in the Army for 8 years of which 6 were in Special Forces with 24 months on Special Forces A Teams in Viet Nam and he has struggled with his own PTSD. He has studied Aikido for 47 years.
