|WILBRAHAM The Boston Road Business Association (BRBA) is excited to announce their Sixth Annual Gala Awards & Silent Auction, taking place at the Wilbraham Country Club on Nov. 10! This event will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception hour, silent auction, hors d'oeuvres and an opportunity for networking and socializing. Following the reception hour dinner will be served and emcee Brenda Garton of Western New England College will present the "Best of Boston Road" awards. Winners are determined based on votes from fellow Boston Road businesses and customers.|
Voting was open to the public during the months of September and October. The votes have been tallied and one winner has been chosen in each of the following categories: Auto Dealership, Auto/Gas Service, Recreational/Fitness, Health/Dental Service, Professional Service, General Service, Food & Beverage Service, Restaurant, Retail Store, Banks/Credit Unions, the Best New Business of the Year and the Boston Road Business of the Year.
"The winners are kept top secret until they are announced at the Gala," said Jillian Gould, co-chair of the BRBA.
Gala tickets are available to the public. "We encourage you to be there to support this year's winners. They obviously gave a little something extra this year to their customers and community and it's a great opportunity to let them know we noticed," said Gould.
The event includes a silent auction and is the main fundraiser for the Boston Road Business Association's holiday lighting program. Last year's event raised over $10,000, which helped defray the cost of illuminating Boston Road with festive lighting displays during the holiday season.
Tickets are $50 each, or $400 for a table of eight, and are payable by cash, check, or charge card. For more information on this event, or to purchase tickets, please contact Jess Steinman at 543-8000 ext. 10, via e-mail at email@example.com or visit www.bostonroad.org.
