Citizens Bank’s Growing Community grants help local nonprofit organizations

GREATER SPRINGFIELD – State Rep. Brian Ashe, D-Longmeadow, announced an opportunity for local nonprofit organizations to apply for grants through the Citizen Bank’s Growing Community grant initiative in Massachusetts. Citizens Bank Foundation will award up to $150,000 in grants ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 for projects “that contribute to the resiliency of neighborhoods by fostering economic growth.” |
The deadline to apply is Sept. 19. Applications my include efforts to support local economic activity, creation of small businesses, job creation and other efforts that will make a neighborhood a better place to live.
“I would like to thank Citizens Bank for their continued support of our local communities and I am always pleased to provide my constituents with any opportunity they may have to receive additional funding for local economic development,” Ashe said.
