Course will help with real estate exam prep
SPRINGFIELD Springfield Technical Community College's Center for Business and Technology (CBT) will offer "Preparation for the Real Estate Exam," a state-approved course for those interested in becoming licensed real estate salespersons.
CBT at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) also partners with the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers (MBREA) to offer training to prepare individuals for a career in real estate appraisal.
Regulations of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts require that those interested in becoming real estate appraisers pass a licensing exam. In order to qualify to take this exam, individuals must complete a specified number of hours of education in an approved program, such as that offered at STCC, as well as apprenticeship hours working under a licensed appraiser. Upcoming courses include:
- Basic Appraisal Principles
- Basic Appraisal Procedures
- Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)
- USPAP Update
STCC has also partnered with Cengage Learning CompuTaught (dba Career WebSchool) to offer online continuing education and exam preparation courses for real estate appraisers in Massachusetts
Space is limited in all programs and interested individuals should go to http://cbt.stcc.edu/specialinterest/#Real_Estate
or call the Center for Business and Technology at 755- 4502 or 755-4225 to register.
