|WILBRAHAM -- The East of the River Five Town Chamber of Commerce (ERC5) will host a free business forum titled "Thriving in a Difficult Economy" Nov. 4 at Wilbraham & Monson Academy. The event will feature four local business owners, who will talk about how their businesses continue to thrive despite the difficult economy.|
Speakers include John Maybury, of Maybury Material Handling; Jackie Fallon, of Fit Solutions; Rocco Falcone, of Rocky's Ace Hardware, and Sam Hanmer, of FieldEddy Insurance. All of four were named to the Affiliated Chamber of Commerce of Greater Springfield's Super 60 list, which honors businesses in our area that have generated impressive financial numbers and withstood pressures of the economic downturn over the past three years.
Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. The speaking program will take place from 8 to 9 a.m., followed by a 30-minute question and answer period. There is no charge for this forum; however, only 40 seats are available.
For those unable to attend, the ERC5 is accepting submitted questions from its members and the general public. "Thriving in a Difficult Economy" will also be recorded and re-broadcast on the ERC Web site and on local cable access.
Registration is only open to Chamber members.
