WESTFIELD The law offices of Dunn and Phillips P.C. will be hosting a seminar for buyers and first-time homeowners on May 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at its Westfield office located at 50 Arnold St. The seminar will include topics of concern to anyone in Massachusetts or Connecticut looking to buy their first home.
There will be presentations and discussion about purchase and sale agreements as well as lending and financial approval requirements. Attendees will also learn how to select a mortgage that best suits their needs. Tax advantages from the First Time Homeowner Tax Credits for 2008 and 2009 will also be discussed.
Guest speakers will include Linda Tucker, a Mortgage Development Officer for Sovereign Bank, as well as representatives of Prudential Insurance and Century 21 Realty.
