The Hampden Bank Charitable Foundation recently donated $25,000 to the Thomas M. Balliet Elementary School to purchase computers for each classroom for research, diagnostic assessment and their Accelerated Reading Program.
Gwen Page, principal at the Balliet Elementary School said, Like many public schools in Springfield, Balliet Elementary School has experienced severe budget restraints and has been unable to fulfill the basic technology needs for the students in our school. These funds from the Hampden Bank Charitable Foundation will help us fill the gap in funding this effort. We want to thank everyone on the Hampden Bank Charitable Foundation Board for this generous gift.
