Hines Financial offers workshops on the economy and personal wealth

GREATER SPRINGFIELD — HinesightFinancial.com , a division of Hines Financial Group Inc., will present a series of free workshops. This series examines key financial topics and encourages individuals to take action to improve their finances.
As part of its public service mission, HinesightFinancial.com regularly hosts free financial workshops to educate individuals on financial decisions that can increase savings and how factors such as inflation, market fluctuation, and fees, among other costs, can erode wealth.
The schedule of seminars is as follows:
  • Sept. 6: The New Economy — Are You Prepared?
    The inaugural workshop focuses on retirement and asks the questions: Who, or what, will retire first — you or your retirement plan? and can accelerating your mortgage hurt your retirement plan?
    This event takes place at 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. at the Storrs Library, Meeting Room, 693 Longmeadow St., Longmeadow. The workshops are free and open to the public. Space is limited.

  • Sept. 7: The New Economy — Are You Prepared?
    HinesightFinancial.com presents “Buy Term and Investing the Difference — How Does This Strategy Work In Our New Economy,” the second workshop in the free, financial education series.
    This is a learning experience with practical lessons, the series examines key financial topics and encourages individuals to take action to improve their finances. During “Buy Term and Investing the Difference,” licensed, personal financial engineers Jerry Hines and Sheila Morin look at term life insurance and discuss if the strategy to invest is still the right choice in today’s economy.
    The workshop is free and open to the public at 6:45 p.m. at the Wilbraham Public Library, Brooks Room, 25 Crane Park Drive, Wilbraham. The workshop is free and open to the public.

  • Oct. 4: The New Economy — Are You Prepared?
