SPRINGFIELD — The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Massachusetts will sponsor a six-session course starting Jan. 25, 2012 to help individuals prepare for the Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s Licensing Exam. Sessions will be held at the Home Builders & Remodelers Association Headquarters, 240 Cadwell Drive, for six Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The license exam is authorized by the State Board of Building Regulations and Standards and administered by Thomson Prometric. Registration forms to enroll for the State Exam will be distributed at the first session of the program.
The fee for this six-session preparation course is $250 for a member of the Home Builders Association of Western Massachusetts and $350 for a non-member. All course participants must bring the IRC 2009 Int’l Residential Building Code Book, the 8th Edition 1 & 2 Family Supplement, the IBC 2009 Int’l Building Code Book and the 8th Edition Basic Building Code Supplement to each class and to the open book examination. There is an additional charge to order the codebooks through the Home Builders & Remodelers Association.
