HOLYOKE – Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. (MBK) announced the promotion of Teresa Perkins to senior associate in the Audit and Accounting division. |
In her previous position as a staff audit associate, Perkins developed a deep understanding of all facets of the audit process, as well as the preparation of financial statements in several industries, tax returns and more.
Before coming to MBK, Perkins was a staff accountant at Big Y Foods. Her experience as a private accountant on the client side gives her a unique perspective on public accounting.
“Teresa has worked hard to gain the experience and expertise necessary to succeed in her new position,” Howard Cheney, MBK partner, said. “She’s the ideal person to not only oversee younger staff, but to train new interns and auditors.”
Perkins takes a very personalized approach to her service, often baking for clients as a way to offset the tension that can surround an audit.
“I like to show that we’re not big scary auditors,” she said. “We’re all just trying for the same goal, to complete the audit as smoothly and quickly as possible.”
