GREATER SPRINGFIELD Celebrate the arrival of spring and bring hope to cancer patients in the community by purchasing fresh cut daffodil bouquets during Daffodil Days on behalf of the American Cancer Society.
Daffodils will be available to purchase throughout March. Daffodil sales are led by community volunteers and will take place at the following times and locations: Wal-Mart, 141 Springfield St., Westfield, on March 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Chocolate Works Inc., 446 North Main St., East Longmeadow, on March 22 from noon to 4 p.m. and on March 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
While the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days campaign involves offering daffodils every spring to donors in appreciation for their contributions, it's more than just giving beautiful flowers. It is everyone's opportunity to help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
Dollars raised through the Daffodil Days campaign will help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking cancer research, provide up-to-date cancer information and education, advocate for public health policies that benefit the community and provide services that improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
