Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m., followed by the presentation at 9 a.m., on Aug. 14 at The Atrium at Cardinal Drive senior living community. The community is located at 153 Cardinal Dr. |
Mal Allard, nurse and Alzheimer's consultant, will present the seminar, which offers 1.0 CEU's to nurses. She will discuss how to cope with the daily challenges of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease by "entering their world."
Attendees will also learn:
• How people with Alzheimer's and dementia may feel or think within their disease process
• Why people with Alzheimer's no longer live or communicate in the "real world"
• How to address emotions of dementia in promoting positive communication and interactions.
