SPRINGFIELD – More than 200 golfers are expected to participate in the 33rd Annual Brightside Golf Classic on July 22 at the Ranch Golf Club in Southwick and Springfield Country Club in West Springfield. This event helps to support the mission of Brightside to continue to protect our community's most vulnerable children and support their families.
Co-chairs of the 33rd Brightside Golf Classic are Steven Lowell, president and CEO, Monson Savings Bank; William Wagner, president and CEO, Chicopee Savings Bank; John Dowd Jr., executive vice president, Dowd Agencies; Paul Fritz, general manager, MassLive; and Brandon Braxton, vice president of Business Banking, First Niagara Bank.
At The Ranch Golf Club, lunch and registration will begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. At the Springfield Country Club, lunch and registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The reception will be held Springfield Country Club immediately following the tournament, beginning with a cocktail hour at 5:15 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m.
All fees include greens fees, lunch at the course, a player gift from Brightside and an invitation to the reception including a live and silent auction. Golfers will be eligible for a chance to win many prizes, including $5,000 in cash, a spa and a car.
A member of the Sisters of Providence Health System, Brightside for Families and Children provides in-home counseling and family support to more than 500 children and their families throughout western Massachusetts. This tangible support offers resource coordination, parenting skills development, behavioral technique instruction and many other tailored supports that work to prevent the hospitalization from occurring.
Each year, the Brightside Golf Classic attracts more than 200 banking and business leaders from the Greater Springfield Area to support the work and mission of Brightside.
