SPRINGFIELD – Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, United Way of Pioneer Valley's (UWPV) annual "DOCS who ROCK" physician talent show was rescheduled and will take place June 21 at 7 p.m. at the Majestic Theater in West Springfield, 131 Elm St.
Musical acts must have at least one member who is a doctor and lives and practices in this service area – Hampden County, South Hadley and Granby. Solo acts are also welcome. All musical styles are encouraged to apply. Applications are available at www.uwpv.org or by calling Deb Foley, Marketing and Communications manager at 693-0239.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale in May. For more information and available sponsorship opportunities, call Sarah Tanner, senior vice president of Resource Development at 693-0227.
Tanner said, "Last year's inaugural concert was so well received, we are anticipating a sell out crowd again this year." The June 2012 event packed the Majestic Theater with eager concertgoers and raised nearly $10,000 for the United Way Community Fund. It's just a wonderfully entertaining night filled with great music – we are looking forward to this year's 'DOCS who ROCK' concert," she added.
