Mary Ann Burns (left), Director of Communications for the American Heart Association, accepts a check in the amount of $822 from Angela Kramer, R.N., M.S. and Business Development Manager for the MRI Center of East Longmeadow and Springfield. Kramer coordinated a raffle with the employees of the MRI Center, its referring physicians and their staff for a Chamilia bracelet and heart bead during February American Heart Month. The funds raised will go toward research and education in the fight against heart disease and stroke, the number one and number three killer of men and women in the U.S.
