Holyoke Medical Center to host lecture on hearing

HOLYOKE – Holyoke Medical Center (HMC) will present “Can You Hear Me Now?” on March 18 at 4:30 p.m. in the medical center’s Auxiliary Conference Room. This program is free and open to the community. After decades of listening to the world around us, the human ear often begins to falter. Hearing loss affects many people for many different reasons. Join Clinical Audiologist, Janice Walker, as she gives an overview of the ear, common causes for hearing loss, technologies and coping strategies. Ample time will be provided for questions and answers. Pre-registration is suggested but not required and can be done by calling the HMC Health Promotion Line at (413) 534-2789. Free hearing screenings will be available before this lecture from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Speech & Hearing department of Holyoke Medical Center, located at 30 Hospital Drive (Skinner Clinic Building).
