Home Builders Assc. to host tag sale for American Cancer Society

The Home Builders Association of Western Massachusetts will be conducting a charitable tag sale on M ay 16 to benefit the American Cancer Society. This annual charitable event will take place at the association's headquarters at 240 Cadwell Dr. in Springfield. This is the fourth year the association has conducted this charitable event with previous year's proceeds having gone to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Cancer Walk and the Leukemia Society. Members, staff and friends of this trade association will donate an array of household items and building materials for this annual charitable event. The hours of the tag sale will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will take place rain or shine. All unsold items will be donated to the Salvation Army. The association is accepting donations of items from the general public such as clean clothes, furniture, household items, sporting goods, electronics, building materials, books, baby items and small apliances. We reserve the right to refuse items that are not clean and sellable, or items that will not be accepted by the Salvation Army. The Home Builders Association of Western Massachusetts is a non-profit trade association with over 450 companies representing professionals in the residential construction industry. They are the producers of the "Original" Western Massachusetts Home and Garden Show. The association conducts many charitable endeavors throughout the year for such groups as Christmas in April, the Community Outreach free ramp program, the American Red Cross Home Town Heroes, the American Cancer Society, the Jimmy Fund, the Shriner's Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network.
