It's time for the second annual Pazzo Open
Springfield Yes, the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Springfield will remain open. However, supporters of the important facility know that their efforts must continue to ensure that the hospital is never in a position that would threaten its existence again. The Pazzo Open is a great example of continuing support from the community and everyone can participate, whether they are golfers or not.
A shotgun start for the 18-hole scramble format is at 10 a.m. sharp (registration from 9 to 10 a.m.) on Aug. 11 at the beautiful Oak Ridge Golf Club at 850 South Westfield St. in Feeding Hills. Cost of $175 per player includes breakfast, lunch, golf, cart and admission to the awards dinner and after party at Pazzo Ristorante at 1000 West Columbus Ave. in Springfield, from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
For those that are not golfers and want to support the Shriners facility, tickets for the after party are only $50 per person and the lavish event menu includes Chef Byron White's wide variety of hand passed sumptuous hors d'oeuvres, shrimp cocktail, oyster and seafood bar, the chef's carving stations including sliced beef tenderloin, slow roasted prime rib, Atlantic salmon, Ahi tuna loin, full dinner buffet and decadent dessert stations. Wine, beer and soda are complimentary and a cash bar will be available.
The event also offers fantastic raffle prizes, a silent auction and a grand raffle prize for a trip for two, including airfare, to the Bellagio in Las Vegas. A limited number of tickets will be sold for this trip.
For tickets to the after party and tickets for the Bellagio raffle please contact Michael White at Pazzo at 737-5800 or 427-6040, send an e-mail to email@example.com or contact Al Zippin at 567-6356.
All proceeds go to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Springfield and those that take advantage of the opportunity to have a great time golfing and networking, are supporting thousands of children who need orthopedic care.
