Running club awards scholarship |

The Pioneer Valley Women's Running Club (PVWRC) has announced that Kristen Veit of Easthampton will be the recipient of the running clubs 2009 PVWRC Annual Scholarship, which she will receive at the club's award banquet on June 23 at the Red Rose Restaurant in Springfield.
Veit is a student at Holyoke Catholic High School and will attend Stonehill College. She will graduate with a 4.07 GPA. She is the Vice President of the National Honor Society, involved in Key Club, performing arts and swim team.
The PVWRC is honored to present this award to Veit as she shows remarkable maturity, academic achievement and extra curricular activity within school and her community. PVWRC was founded in 2000 and is a non-profit organization dedicated to running for women of all abilities in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.
