September blood drive dates announced

GREATER SPRINGFIELD — The American Red Cross will host several community blood drives during the month of September.

All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood. Blood donors are needed everyday to ensure an adequate blood supply for patients in need.

In September, all presenting donors will receive a collectable Red Sox T-shirt and a $19.99 Extra Mile Service Package Oil and Filter Change, plus free four-tire rotation, plus free wiper blades, plus free tire pressure check, plus $60 Off a set of four tires.

The following blood drives will take place throughout September:
  • Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Ludlow Elks Lodge, 69 Chapin St., Ludlow.

  • Sept. 5 from 1 to 6 p.m. — Hampshire Mall, 367 Russell St., Hadley; and Big Lots, 178 North King St., Northampton.

  • Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst Campus Center, 1 Campus Center Way, Amherst.

  • Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Stop & Shop, 1282 Springfield St., Feeding Hills.

  • Sept. 12 from noon to 6 p.m. — UMass Campus Center, 1 Campus Center Way, Amherst.

  • Sept. 13 — American International College, 999 State St., Springfield, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tower Square, 1500 Main St., Springfield, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Holyoke Community College Bartley Center, 303 Homestead Avenue, Holyoke.

  • Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Walgreens, 1440 Boston Road, Springfield.

  • Sept. 17 — Hampshire Mall, 367 Russell St., Hadley, from 1 to 6 p.m.; Longmeadow Community House, 735 Longmeadow St., Longmeadow, from 1 to 7 p.m.

  • Sept. 18 from noon to 6 p.m. — Moose Family Center, 244 Fuller Road, Chicopee; Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St., Westfield.

  • Sept. 19 — Amherst College Keefe Campus Center, Route 9, Amherst, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; UMass Campus Center, 1 Campus Center Way, Amherst, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thomson Broadcast, 104 Feeding Hills Road, Southwick, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Sept. 20 from noon to 6 p.m. — Springfield College Judd Gymnasia, 263 Alden St., Springfield.

  • Sept. 21 from noon to 6 p.m. — Eastfield Mall, 1655 Boston Road, Springfield.

  • Sept. 22 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. — East Longmeadow Council on Aging, 328 North Main St., East Longmeadow.

  • Sept. 24 from noon to 6 p.m. — Our Savior's Lutheran, 319 Granby Road, South Hadley.

  • Sept. 25 from noon to 5 p.m. — Cooley Dickinson Hospital, 30 Locust St., Northampton.

  • Sept. 26 from noon to 6 p.m. — Agawam Fire Department, 800 Main St., Agawam.

  • Sept. 27 — Monson Senior Center, 106 Main St., Monson, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Bethlehem Baptist Church, 216 Allen St., Hampden, from 1 to 7 p.m.

  • Sept. 28 — Burger King, 344 King St., Northampton, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; September 28, 2012 Six Flags New England's Human Resources Center, 1756 Main St., Agawam, from noon to 6 p.m.

  • Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St., Westfield.
