SPRINGFIELD -- A holiday tradition returns with the Festival of Trees opening Nov. 26 and running through Dec. 12. Presented by the Springfield Boys and Girls Club, the display at Tower Square in Springfield features trees decorated by businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations.

Visitors may also buy chances to win the trees valued at hundreds of dollars; some with gift certificates and a variety of prizes. All trees will be raffled off at the festival's conclusion. The winner may take the beautifully decorated tree home as well as all of the tree's trimmings and prizes. Pro-ceeds from the festival to benefit the Springfield Boys & Girls Club.

The hours for the festival are Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 pm.; Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for seniors and children over 12. Children under 12 are free. There is free parking in the Tower Square garage with admission.
