Jan. 14 charity extravaganza to benefit Open Pantry

SPRINGFIELD — It's wild, it's elegant, it's amazing and it's hysterical; it's one sure-fire evening of theatrical fun and comical entertainment. The Camilla's Annual Charity Extravaganza "Masquerade" to benefit Open Pantry Community Services Inc. is scheduled for Jan. 14 at Chez Josef, 176 Shoemaker Lane, Agawam from 7 to 10 p.m. With performances like the opening act, "Everybody's Girl," the fundraiser promises to bring smiles, laughter and much needed funds to the non-profit organization that improves the quality of lives by providing meaningful services which can assist people who are hungry, homeless or disadvantaged.
"I can honestly say that I do not know what it is like to be hungry and I don't want anyone to have to experience what it feels like," Tony Isham, producer of the event, said. "If we can bring meaningful awareness to the plight of those that need the services of Open Pantry and help raise funds at the same time, Springfield is one step further to combating the local problem of hunger and homelessness."
Attendees are asked to bring in non-perishable food items and will receive a raffle ticket for the grand prize drawing to be held at the end of the event.
Cocktails and hors d'ouevres are available at 7 p.m. The show begins at 8:30 p.m. and finishes at 10 p.m.
Tickets are $40 for individuals, $350 for a table of 10 or $500 for a VIP table of 10 that includes two bottles of wine (red and white) and hors d'oeuvres for one hour.
