The Westfield River Wild & Scenic Advisory Committee is offering a free program for community members and Wild & Scenic volunteers on Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program titled, “Bugs Underwater: Macroinvertebrate Monitoring,” will be presented by Michael B. Cole, Ph.D., Senior Aquatic Scientist at the Chesterfield Gorge.

Limited space and commitment to participating in an ongoing study and yearly collection is required. To participate, call Meredyth Babcock, volunteer coordinator, at 623-2070.
