Nationally-ranked gymnasts set to compete in Daggett Invitational
Nationally-ranked athletes will compete in the 2011 Tim Daggett National Invitational at Mount Holyoke College in February.

SOUTH HADLEY — The annual 2011 Tim Daggett National Invitational (TDNI) will take place at Mount Holyoke College's Kendall Sports and Dance Complex Feb. 4 to 6.
Some of the nation's best gymnasts will compete during the three-day event, including Daggett's own USA Junior National Team member, Jonathan Deaton, college-bound athletic scholarship recipients Joshua Ungar (University of Nebraska) and Lauren Ross (Towson University), as well as several 2010 USA Junior Olympic National Championship competitors listed below.
Daggett Gymnastics, located in Agawam and the competitive team's parent organization, will host over 1,000 athletes from throughout New England, New York and Pennsylvania at this prestigious invitational, which is quickly becoming one of the largest in the Northeast. Come watch the upper level elite gymnasts perform skills similar to those in the Olympics, or see what competitive gymnastics is all about at the developmental levels three to 10.
The women's Level 9/10 competition will begin on Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The men's Level 10 meet is on Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.

  • Women's Level 10: Abby Griswold of Monson; Lauren Ross of South Windsor, Conn.; and Kathy Tang of Agawam.
  • Men's Level 10: Luke Aldrich of Amherst; Devin Clarke of East Hartford, Conn.; Jon Deaton of Longmeadow; Danny DiBenedetto of Vernon, Conn., Kameron Tang of Agawam; Josh Ungar of Long-meadow; Alex Watkins, of Feeding Hills; Paul Wood of Hardwick; and Tyler Curran of Westfield (did not compete in 2010).
  • Men's Level 9: Peter Daggett of East Longmeadow; Shaun Herzog of Manchester, Conn.; and Ben Provost of South Hadley.
