People's Financial to host college seminar

HOLYOKE -- PeoplesFinancial and Insurance Services will host a free seminar for families of college-bound high school sophomores and juniors Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Homewood Suites, located at 375 Whitney Ave. The event will focus on the college admissions and financing process and will teach attendees how to develop a strategy for choosing the best college for both the student and the family budget. The session will be led by Adam Metsch, director of the College Advisor of New England, Inc., an educational and financial aid consulting service. Metsch has personally visited and critiqued over 250 colleges and universities nationwide and has successfully guided over 1,000 families through the complex college planning process. He is a certified educational planner the highest credential in his field, a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and a board member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association. The seminar is open to the public, and light refreshments will be served. To register, please call Ann Strycharz at 493-8655.
