Young Wilbraham singer featured on Community Auditions

Colin Geaghan, a 15-year-old singer from Wilbraham, will be aired on Community Auditions June 26 through 28. The episode featuring Geaghan was filmed at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. It will be televised on various New England stations throughout the weekend. Information about times and stations can be found on www.communityauditions.com. Viewers are encouraged to vote to help Geaghan achieve his goal of becoming a finalist.

Judges for the episode included such top names as Michael Sweet, lead singer for the band Boston, as well as a member of the band Stryper; Candy O'Terry, singer and creator and co-host of Magic 106.7; and Joyce Kulhawik, previous arts and entertainment anchor for WBZ-TV news in Boston. Geaghan sang "Everything" by artist Michael Buble. He scored a 9 from each judge receiving a total score of 27 out of 30.

Geaghan has been singing and performing since he was a young child. He has performed with many organizations including the Dan Kane Singers, the Hampden Theatre Guild, Saint Cecilia's Youth Choir, the Minnechaug chorus and performs privately on his own. He recently won "Wilbraham's Got Talent" sponsored by the Wilbraham United Players. Geaghan studies with private vocal coach Teri La Fleur from Ludlow.
