SENIOR CENTER EVENTS
The Agawam Council on Aging and Senior Center events are as follows. Dec. 31: 9:30 a.m., quilting; 9:30 a.m., pinochle; noon, mock New Year's countdown; 1 p.m., pitch; 1:30 p.m., open art. Jan. 1: Senior Center closed.

SNAP INFORMATION SESSION
Do you know anyone who needs some help getting healthy, nutritious foods? If so, attend our upcoming info session on Jan. 4 at noon at the Senior Center. The Food Bank of Western Mass. will be at the center to present info on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (the newly named Food Stamps Program). Learn what SNAP is, who is eligible, how the application process works and how to use the benefits. There will be plenty of time to ask questions.

CHICOPEE
FIRST TUESDAY DINNER
Charles C. Kennedy Unit #275, 41 Robbins Rd., will host their First Tuesday Dinner on Jan. 5. Dinner is served at 5 p.m.; doors open at 4:30. January's dinner is roast beef, potatoes, vegetables, bread and butter, dessert, coffee and tea. Adults, $8; children under 10, $4.

TURNING 65 AND MEDICARE
Jim Zabik from Bankers Life and Casualty is presenting a seminar in the conference room of the Chicopee Public Library on Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. The subject covered will be what to do when you turn 65 and want to go on Medicare. For more info, call 594-1800 ext. 108.

PIONEER VALLEY BOAT & SURF CLUB

PIONEER VALLEY STAMP CLUB
The Pioneer Valley Stamp Club will meet on Jan. 12 and 26 at the First United Church of Christ on Route 5 in Longmeadow. Activities for the evening include a mini-auction and a short meeting. NRA BASIC PISTOL SAFETY COURSE
An N.R.A. Basic Pistol Safety Course will be offered at the Holyoke Revolver Club Indoor Range, 431 West Cherry St., on Jan. 16 from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. This is a hands on shooting experience teaching the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. A National Rifle Assoc. Basic Pistol Course Certificate as well as a State of Massachusetts Certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the course. SOCIAL CONNECTION MEETING
The "Social Connection" 50 Plus Group meets Jan. 9 from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Justin Kopec has been playing the piano since he was seven years old and singing along to songs on the radio since he could speak. CENSUS AND DOG LICENSE
The annual census has been mailed to residents. Take the time to fill out and return back to the Town Clerk's Office. Dog license forms are available on the back of the census forms. PAYING TAXES ONLINE
Real estate and personal property taxes are due Jan. 20. Taxes can be paid online at www.southwickma.org. Vital copies and transfer stickers can also be paid online.

SPRINGFIELD
ITALIAN LANGUAGE CLASSES
The Italian Culture Center, 56 Margaret St., will offer Italian language classes for eight weeks beginning Jan. 26. Beginner and Intermediate classes will be on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost: $95 for those without the textbook; and $85 for those with the textbook. Call to register or for information at 784-1492.

YOGA CLASSES
Tthe Westfield YMCA offers free yoga classes with membership. Instructors are certified in Hatha, Omega and Kripalu teachings. Yoga is offered Tues. and Thurs. at 7 and 8:30 a.m. and Mon. and Wed. at 6:30 p.m. There's also Chair Yoga at 9:30 a.m. and Yoga Ball at 10:30 a.m. Classes begin the week of Jan. 4. The W.S. Public Library, 200 Park St., will offer a series of four beginner computer classes for adults during January. The classes will be offered as a Tuesday series, Jan. 5 - 26 from 7 - 9 p.m.; or a Saturday series, Jan. 9 - 30 from 9 - 11 a.m. Registration begins Dec. 28 at 9 a.m. for W.S. residents.
