AGAWAM
AGAWAM SENIOR CENTER
Agawam Senior Center will host a jewelry making class with Sandy on Dec. 13, 9-11 a.m. The cost is $2 plus supplies. Sign up at the front desk.

CREATIVE WRAPPING CLASS
Sheila Coly of Thousand Cranes Studio will demonstrate creative ways of wrapping gifts for the holidays, including the use of origami for decoration. Participants (adults only) may bring two small/medium gifts to wrap. The program will take place Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Programs must have a minimum number of participants to be held, so please visit the library or call 789-1550 ext. 109 to register.

TRADING POST "SALE DAY"
Join your neighbors and your friends and come to the Trading Post sale day Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Donated items 50 percent off; all other items 20 percent off. Four dollar bag sale from 12:30 - 5:30 p.m. No incoming items on sale day.

FRIENDS OF LIBRARY MEETING
The monthly meeting of The Friends of the Agawam Public Library will be held on Dec. 6 in the Community Room at the Agawam Public Library at 7 p.m. We will be making plans for our spring book sale and other fundraisers for this year. RHAPSODY SINGERS CONCERT
Richie and Kathy Mitnick and the Rhapsody Singers, in conjunction with the Agawam Rotary Club, will present their annual holiday concert on Dec. 10 at Agawam High School at 7 p.m. The family-oriented show will also highlight selected students from the Agawam schools. Tickets, available at the door, will be $3 plus at least two canned goods for the Parish Cupboard, or $5.99 without the canned goods.

FOXWOODS TRIP
Senior Athletes will sponsor a bus trip to Foxwoods on Dec. 13. Bus leaves at 8 a.m. from the Agawam Senior Center. Price is $18 per person. Receive a package worth $25. For more info call Joan at 786-6852 or Ralph at 569-5925.

CULTURAL COUNCIL MEETING
The Agawam Cultural Council (ACC) is meeting on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Agawam Public Library, 750 Cooper St. The meeting is open to the public. If you have an interest in providing diverse cultural events for the town, a great opportunity exists with the ACC. This all-volunteer organization, appointed by the mayor and funded, in part, by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, is looking for new members.

TRIP TO MOHEGAN SUN CASINO
The Agawam Golden Agers, Chapter Two is hosting a trip to the Mohegan Sun Casino on Jan. 7. The cost of this trip is $18 and includes transportation, buffet, two $10 Big Wheel bets and driver gratuity. Trip is open to the public. We'll be leaving the Agawam Senior center at 8 a.m. and returning at 5:30 p.m. For more information or reservations contact Art Usher at 786-3567.

"A RUSSIAN FOLK FAIR"
The Agawam Golden Agers, Chapter Two is hosting a trip to Mohegan Sun to see "A Russian Folk Fair" on Feb. 27. This show is based on centuries-old Russian traditions and fables and is narrated by mythical Russian characters. It includes folk musicians, singers, dancers, acrobats and human puppets. ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP
An Alzheimer's caregivers support group meets monthly on the third Wed. of the month. On Dec. 19, Gerri Bennett, R.N. will provide info on Alzheimer's. Support is also provided to help you provide the bets care for your loved one. The program will be held at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. at 3:30 p.m. There is no cost for this program. For further info or to register call 534-3698.

CHICOPEE SENIOR TRAVEL CLUB
Spend the day at Venus DeMilo in Swansea with the Chicopee Senior Travel Club to see Dublin's traditional Irish Cabaret starring Noel Ginnity and singer Paul Hennessy on Mar. 13. The W.F. Davitt Ladies Auxiliary Post 625 located at 374 Front St. will hold their spaghetti supper on Dec. 6 from 4-6 p.m. Adults and senior citizens, $4; children under 10, $3.75; and take-out, $4.25. We serve you. All monies are used for our veterans, cancer fund, hospital parties, National Home for Children and much more. Come and join us.

QUABBIN VALLEY TWIRLERS
The Quabbin Valley Twirlers Square Dance Club will sponsor a square dance on Dec. 8 at St. George's Church Hall at 33 Maple St. All western style square dancers and spectators are welcome. Silver Foxes and Belles
Chief Meteorologist Ed Carroll of WGGB-TV News 40 will speak at the Silver Foxes and Belles meeting, Dec. 5, 1:30 p.m. Carroll will discuss various types of weather patterns and global warming. "IRELAND AS YOU LIKE IT"
The St. Patrick's Parade Committee of Holyoke has raffle tickets available for an "Ireland As You Like It" trip for six people, including limo ride to and from Logan Airport, roundtrip airfare on Aer Lingus, hotels, meals, attractions and $500 spending money per traveler or $15,000 cash. Tickets are $100 each. A total of 290 tickets will be sold. Drawing to be held Mar. 26. This is the 57th anniversary of the Past President's fundraising to help defray the expenses of the Holyoke St. Patrick's Parade. Advent Craft Fair
The annual Advent Craft Fair will be Dec. 7 from 3 - 8 p.m. and Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 1 Church St., opposite the town common, junction of routes #47 and #116.

SOUTHWICK
RAFFLE TICKET PERMITS
The town of Southwick Town Clerk's Office would like to remind any resident selling raffle tickets to be sure they obtain a raffle permit. The application can be picked up from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Mon.-Fri., and the cost is $10.

PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY
The state's presidential primary has been changed to Feb. 5. The town of Southwick Clerk's Office would like to inform all residents the last day to register to vote will be Jan. 16. Anyone interested in obtaining an absentee ballot call the Town Clerk's Office at 569-5504 for an application.

SANTA BREAKFAST
A breakfast and photos with Santa sponsored by the Southwick Lions Club will be 8 a.m. - noon on Dec. 9 at the Southwick Recreation Center on Powder Mill Road. The breakfast will feature pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. Prizes will be raffled throughout the morning. Cost is $5 per person. Cost for children under 12 is $3. Proceeds will be used to support the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund, the Lions Orthoptic Clinic of Western Massachusetts and the Rec. Center. The news Lions Eyemobile will provide free hearing and vision screening exams and Child ID kits will be available from the Southwick Police Department.

"MEMORIES IN THE MAKING"
The Alzheimer's Association of Western Mass. in collaboration with the Southwick Public Library will host the "Memories in the Making" art show, open to the public during December. "Memories in the Making" is a creative art expression program for individuals with early to middle stages of Alzheimer's disease. BENEFIT FOR PARISH CUPBOARD
The Dance team at Louise Noel's Dance and Gymnastics is proud to present the Polar Express benefit performance for the Parish Cupboard on Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at Mittineague Congregational Church. The West Springfield Girl Scouts will also sing Christmas carols. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and seniors.
