The Friends of the Agawam Library are hosting a raffle through July 30 for a Nook e-reader and a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card. Tickets can be purchased at the library's Info Desk for $2 each, or $5 for three. The drawing will be July 30 at noon. Winner will be notified by phone.
FRISBEE CHAMP AT LIBRARY
Two-time Frisbee Freestyle World Champion, Todd Brodeur will demonstrate tricks and give a hands on clinic teaching frisbee tricks and catches at the Agawam Public Library on July 28 at 6 p.m. This event is part of the Children's Summer Reading Program and is free of charge. Bring in your old gold, silver, costume jewelry, silver flatware, coins and Mark will pay you cash for your unwanted pieces at the Senior Center on July 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the center: the jeweler will pay the center a percentage of his proceeds. Numbers will be given out at 3:45 p.m. to those who wish to see Mark, each appointment with him should last about 15 minutes.

BRONX ZOO TRIP
The Chicopee Parks Dept. is sponsoring a trip to the world famous Bronx Zoo in New York on Aug. 22. Seats are limited. Price for complete trip is $62 for adults, $55 for kids under 12. Trip includes bus fare, zoo admission, sky ride, monorail ride entrance to the children's zoo, Congo Gorilla Forest, Siberian Tiger Habitats and zoo shuttle. BOURNE SCALLOP FEST
The Chicopee Parks and Rec. Dept. with Ely and Associates Trips is sponsoring a trip to Bourne on Sept. 26 for the Bourne Scallop Festival. Package includes round-trip motorcoach, scallop or roasted chicken meal and entry to the fest. Cost is $61. "A PERFECT SPOT OF TEA"
The JMPT Quartet will perform eclectic instrumental music from around the world at the Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum's "A Perfect Spot of Tea" on Aug. 7. The Westfield Athenaeum presents an exhibit by Nancy Masters titled, "Automotive and Wearable Art" through July 30 during regular library hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Masters paints from her own photographs and selects only a portion to paint. TAG SALE DONATIONS
The Westfield Homeless Cat Project urgently needs items for a tag sale fundraiser. Used clothing, toys, household items, etc. are welcome. This no kill shelter desperately needs to raise funds to care for the numerous unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens coming into the shelter daily. BENEFIT CAR SHOW
