MOHEGAN SUN TRIP
Agawam Lioness is sponsoring a trip to Mohegan Sun on Sept. 13. Cost will be $25; receive back at $15 food voucher and three $5 free spin bets. ENERGY COMMITTEE MEETING
The Go Green Agawam Energy Committee will meet July 15 at 7 p.m. at the Agawam Public Library. The focus of the meeting will be on the Ordinance to form a Town Energy Commission which will be on the agenda of the City Council meeting of July 27.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS NIGHT
Agawam High School Band Family and Friends Night will take place on July 22 and Aug. 19 at Friendly's in Agawam. The event will help support the students of band. Those who eat-in out take-out from 5 - 8 p.m., Friendly's will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to the band.
GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Bethany Assembly of God annual Royal Family Kids' Camp (RFKC) Golf Tournament will take place Aug 1. Non-foursomes will be paired up. Day includes a meal, silent auction and golf. Cost of meal only is $20. Proceeds will benefit RFKC, a camp for neglected and abused children in the foster program. Call 789-2930 for more info.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

BIG BAND ON THE HUDSON

DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP
The next meeting will be on July 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. Diane Weston, R.N. will provide info on ways to manage your diabetes, help you with your diet plan, provide instruction on the use of a glucometer, info on research and new developments and answer questions you may have. MASSAGE AVAILABLE AT COA
Chair massage by Gina Welsh of Craniosacral and Massage Center Inc. starting at 11 a.m. on July 17 at the Chicopee Council on Aging, 7 Valley View Ct. Each session is 15 mins. Cost is $10 for those over 60 and $15 for those under 60. Chair massage is administered while the client is clothed and seated in a specially designed chair. Those who enjoy making beaded jewelry meets twice a month at 10 a.m. on Thursdays. The next session is July 23. WRITING GROUP
A group of friendly people gather informally in the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct., on the first and third Friday of each month at 1 p.m. They will meet on July 17 and Aug. 7 and 21. BRONX ZOO TRIP
The Chicopee Parks Dept. will sponsor a trip to the Bronx Zoo on Aug. 23. Complete trip includes bus fare, zoo admission, sky ride, monorail ride entrance to the children's zoo, Congo Gorilla Forest, Siberian Tiger Habitats and zoo shuttle. FOLIAGE TRIP
Join the Aldenville Seniors of St. Rose de Lima on Oct. 8 as they travel to Bennington, Vt., for their foliage trip. First stop will be to Camelot Village Country Craft Center followed by lunch at the Bennington Station Restaurant where you will have two dinner choices. OVER 60 CLUB
New members are invited to join the Over 60 Club. The social club meets every Monday at the Chicopee Elks Lodge on Granby Road at 1 p.m. Activities include birthday parties, bingo and special event luncheons. EXPLORING THE PARANORMAL
As part of the Adult Summer Reading Program, the Granby Public LIbrary is hosting "Exploring the Paranormal; Spirits, Hauntings, and Messages from the Other Side" with local paranormal researcher/spirit medium/handwriting analyst/children's author Lisa Maria Lanno. The Granby Public Library will be holding its annual Adult Summer Reading Program through Aug. 21. The program is open to patrons ages 18 and over. Summer Youth Programs
Holyoke Rows is offering three different programs for kids 10 and up to learn to row and kayak. A one week, half day rowing program (12 years and up) will be offered the weeks of July 20 - 24 or Aug. 17 - 21. A three day, full day, kayaking program (10-15 years) will be offered July 14 - 16 or Aug. 4 - 6. A unique two day adaptive kayaking program (10 and up) will be offered July 21 - 22 or July 28 - 29. "POLTER-HEIST" AUDITIONS
The Cultural Council will host auditions for "Polter-Heist," a murder mystery comedy. Auditions are July 29 - 30 in the Town Hall Auditorium at 7 p.m. Each auditioner must bring a two-minute or less dramatic monologue and then participate in cold readings from the script. RIVER WALKS
Free escorted hour-long River Walks depart at 12:30 p.m. every Wednesday through the end of August from the Monarch Place fountain, Main Street and Boland Way. Walks are led by volunteers to promote the Connecticut River Walk & Bikeway.
A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC

NAACP SPEAK OUT
The newly formed Springfield Chapter of the NAACP will host a community "Speak Out" on July 27 at 6:30 p.m. Particpants will be able to share their concerns, questions and ideas for a better Springfield community. FAMILY FUN NIGHT
A family fun night with a free book giveaway, free food to the first 100 people and a free craft is taking place July 23 from 5 - 7 p.m., rain or shine, at 765 State St., outside on the lawn of the Urban League and the Mason Square Library. Families and children of all ages are welcomed to attend the event and receive free reading books; foods donated by McDonald's on State Street, and also work on a free craft project.
