ERNIE BRUNO AND COMPANY
Join the Friends of Agawam Seniors on a trip to the Hudson River Valley lunch and show starring Ernie Bruno and Company on July 15. Those of you who visited the Williams Lake Inn and enjoyed the Ernie Bruno Show know there's only one Ernie Bruno and now he's back to entertain us with his comedy and song. Our luncheon includes: garden salad, vegetables and potatoes, either filet of salmon with bernaise sauce or breast of chicken marsala/franchaise, dessert, with coffee or tea. CHICOPEE
SUMMER MEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The Chicopee Parks Dept. is looking for teams to join its outdoor men's basketball league, which is scheduled for mid-July - the end of August. Those teams interested in playing in this summer league should contact the Parks Dept. immediately at 594-3481. Stop in to pick up roster form and league rules. Rosters and league fees paid in full are due by July 6.

LIVING AGAIN
A support group to help those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, no matter when, will meet July 8 at 1 p.m. at the Chicopee Council on Aging, 7 Valley View Ct. The group is facilitated by Irene Remillard. For more info call Jared at 534-3698 or Irene at 594-6092.

NEW ORLEANS GETAWAY
The Chicopee Parks & Rec. Dept. presents a five-day tour to see New Orleans, Nov. 3 - 7. Join Collette Tours for a five-day trip to the "Jazz Capital of the World." Spend five days exploring the famous French Quarters amidst the sound of jazz, streetcars and steamboats. Enjoy the jazz revue on famous Bourbon Street at the Maison Bourbon. Visit St. Louis Cemetery, one of New Orleans oldest and most intriguing cemeteries. Board the steamboat Natchez for a river cruise from the heart of the French Quarters and more. MYSTIC SEAPORT
The Chicopee Senior Travel Club invites you to join them as they discover Mystic Seaport on July 16. The day begins with Olde Mistick Village linger in more than 40 quaint shoppes. Then, off to the Seaman's Inne on the Mystic River for lunch. At Mystic Seaport you can spend time at the Museum of America and the Sea, the nation's leading maritime museum. Explore American maritime history firsthand as you climb aboard historic ships, stroll through a re-created 19th century coastal village or watch a working preservation shipyard in action. FLAG FOOTBALL SIGN-UPS
The Chicopee Parks & Rec. Dept. is now taking registration for this summer's Flag Football League scheduled to start mid-July with practices to start the end of June, and a Super Bowl to take place in early August. Boys and girls eligible to play are kids 9 - 14 years of age as of Oct. 1, 2008. Children who have already attended 9th grade are not eligible. Eligibility to play is a child must be a Chicopee resident or attend a Chicopee school. Proof of residency is necessary at sign ups. Deadline is July 9. CAR WASH FUNDRAISER
The Chicopee High School football team will be hosting a car wash on June 28 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the premises of Central Oil Co. at 206 Center St.

GRANBY
ANTIQUE FARM TABLE DRAWING
The Granby Free Public Library is hosting a drawing for a beautiful antique farm table donated by the Shabby Sheep of 388 East St. All proceeds will benefit the Granby Library's Pavilion Fund. The pavilion will make it possible to host an array of library programming throughout the year. For every $3 donated, your name will be entered into the drawing. For every $5 donation made, your name will be entered twice. The drawing will be on July 8. The library is open Tues., Wed., and Fri. from 10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
A Special Town Meeting will take place June 30 at the Granby Junior Senior High School gym at 7 p.m. Warrant articles are available at Town Hall, Center Pharmacy, Dressel's Service Station, Florence Savings Bank, Granby Public Library, Granby Post Office, Polish Credit Union and Sevarino's Family Variety. SPAGHETTI SUPPER
On June 26 the Holyoke Loge of Elks #902 will serve an "all you can eat" spaghetti supper from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Lodge Home on Whitney Avenue. Menu: tossed salad w/ dressing, spaghetti w/ Elks special meat sauce, parmesan cheese, plain and garlic rolls, lemonade, coffee or tea. 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Holyoke's July 4th celebration will take place on July 3 (rain date July 5) on the beautiful grounds of Holyoke Community College. Fireworks are sponsored by the Holyoke Gas & Electric Dept. and the event is hosted by HCC. The event starts at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at dusk. SIZZLE AND DRIZZLE
Mayor Sullivan and the Holyoke Parks & Rec. Dept. invite children young and old to attend the opening day ceremonies of the new water spray park at Springdale Park on its rescheduled date of June 30 from noon - 2 p.m. There will be ice cream treats for all, music, games, the great magician Mustachio and a balloon artist! LUNCHEON AND CRUISE

The newest installment of State Rep. Donald Humason Jr.'s cable show, "From the State House to Your House," will feature Dan Genovese, captain of the Westfield Wheelmen Vintage Base Ball League. The half-hour program airs on Westfield's Community Programming Channel 15, on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., and Sundays at 4:30 p.m.

WESTFIELD AMERICAN LEGION BAND
Westfield American Legion Band, a local institution since 1932, is offering a variety of patriotic and traditional music. They will be performing for your pleasure in the Beveridge Pavilion.
