MOHEGAN SUN
Reservations are open for the Lioness bus trip to Mohegan Sun on April 18. The bus will leave the Agawam High School parking lot at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $20 which incudes a $10 meal ticket and a $10 free bet. All reservations must be paid at the time of registration. JEWELRY MAKING

"AFTER THE PARADE PARTY"
The Agawam St. Patrick's Committee will host their 8th annual "After the Parade Party" on March 30 at the Oak Ridge Country Club in Feeding Hills with a social hour at 4:30 p.m. and a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner at 5 p.m. The community is invited to join in the festivities with the Agawam 2008 Colleen and court, Parade Marshal Kevin Garvey; Anne Sullivan Award winner, Barbara Lussier and the Citizenship Award recipient, Ric Sardella along with committee members and town dignitaries. PARKER'S MAPLE BARN
The seniors of St. Rose de Lima invite you to join them March 27 at they travel to Parker's Maple Barn in Mason, N.H., where you will enjoy a full breakfast. After there will be plenty of time for shopping at the barn and two additional stops will be made for shopping as well. CENTER CLOSED
The Chicopee Senior Center will close for the holiday at 12:30 p.m. on March 21 and reopen at 8 a.m. on March 24.

EASY HOME EXERCISE
Stability ball exercise workshop March 20, 1 p.m., Chicopee Council on Aging, 7 Valley View Ct. Stability ball exercise is a great workout option for seniors. Stability ball allows a wide range of exercises to be performed at home. Learn how to use your ball to build your strength and improve your balance. However, before you start using a stability ball, or begin any exercise program, remember to call your doctor. We cannot provide balls, so bring your own ball. RED SOX VS. TORONTO BLUE JAYS
Last chance to join the Chicopee Parks & Rec. Dept. for a three-day road trip to enjoy the Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto, which also includes a visit to Niagara Falls. SPAGHETTI SUPPER
Faith United Methodist Church, 191 Montcalm St., spaghetti supper March 20, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Cost: $5, adult; $2.50, children eight to 12; and free for children under eight. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, homemade desserts, coffee and cold drinks. ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP
Providing care for a love one with Alzheimer's is a 24-hour job. Attending a support group can be rewarding, informational and beneficial in reducing stress. An Alzheimer's caregivers support group meets monthly on the third Wed. of the month. On March 19, Gerri Bennett, R.N. will provide info on Alzheimer's. The program will take place at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct., at 3:30 p.m. There is no cost for this program. If you would like further info or to register, call 534-3698.

K OF C DINNER CANCELED
The Thursday night roast steak dinner, scheduled for March 20, has been canceled, as it is during Holy Week. Please join us again in April, when our first and third Thursday Nite Dinners resume. SCRABBLE GAMES

DANCE FOR A CURE
On March 29 MA Chapter D Goldwing Road Riders Asssoc. will be sponsoring its 6th annual benefit dance for Rays of Hope, "Come Dance for a Cure for Breast Cancer." This event will take place at The Knights of Columbus on Granby Road from 8 p.m. -midnight. Advance price tickets are $12 til March 15; after, $15. There will be door prizes and snacks. OPEE Summer Adventures Positions Available
The Chicopee Parks & Rec. Dept. would like to announce that summer positions are now available for its 2008 OPEE Summer Adventures program. The Parks Dept. is looking for counselors for the upcoming summer. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be First Aid and CPR certified by the beginning of the program. Easter Egg Hunt at Szot Park
The Chicopee Parks & Rec. Dept. with sponsorship from Wal-Mart would like to announce that signups are now being taken for the 2008 Easter Egg Extravaganza Hunt which will take place March 22, 10 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. at the Upper Szot Park Field. Kids ages 10 and under are invited to take part in the annual event where all participants search around the field to find candy filled eggs along with a few eggs filled with a special golden ticket. A free picture with the Easter Bunny also! Small Easter bags will be given out, but prizes will be given out to the kids who create the most original/decorative Easter basket. The Parks Dept. is also having an Easter Coloring Contest; forms can be picked up at the office at registration. $5 for residents, $7 for non-residents. CANCER HOUSE OF HOPE PROGRAMS
The Cancer House of Hope will offer five new free-of-charge programs for people with cancer, as well as their families and friends. The Springfield House, 946 Plumtree Rd., is offering A Helping Hand: Mom's Support Group at 10 a.m., the third Tuesday of each month, starting March 18. Life-Coaching at 6:30 p.m. every other Thursday, starting April 3. Walking Towards Wellness 8 - 9 a.m. every Saturday, April 5 - May 31. Blake Track & Field, Springfield College, Alden Street. The Westfield House, 86 Court St. is offering Writing for Wellness at 3:30 p.m. each Wednesday, starting May 14. Men's Social & Support Group at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. WOMEN'S RUNNING CLUB
The Pioneer Valley Women's Running Club of Western MA/N. CT (PVWRC) will
conduct a 10-week "Walk-to-Run" clinic for women of all ages and abilities April 8 - June 10, Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Women over age 18 are encouraged to join. Women must be able to walk 30 minutes non-stop and be in good physical condition. Cost for this program is $35, which entitles participants toward $5 off club membership. The fee will be applied to the PVWRC Annual Scholarship Fund given out each June to a female high school athlete with a history in running. GOOD FRIDAY NIGHT CONCERT
All are welcome March 21 at 7:30 p.m to The Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel as the Cathedral Choir of Boys and Adults performs spirituals, Renaissance and modern choral works as part of their eighth performance of Tenebrae or Darkness on Good Friday Night. This seasonal event is characterized by the gradual extinguishing of all the lights and candles in the cathedral during the course of the music and readings. BENEFIT FISH FRY

HIBERNIANS TO HOST COMMUNION BREAKFAST

COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR
Porter and Chester Institute will be sponsoring a Free Community Health Fair March 19 at the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round from 3 - 7 p.m. This fair is directed at getting health information out to residents in the Holyoke, Westfield, Northampton, Chicopee, South Hadley and surrounding communities. Info will be provided by a number of organizations including Valley Opportunity Council, the Holyoke Police Department, Small Smiles, WIC and the Dept. of Transitional Assistance, to name a few.

SIDE BY SIDE
What is it that makes comparing two works of art so powerful? What do we see when we examine things side by side that we don't see when we look at objects individually? The docents of the Mt. Holyoke College Art Museum set about answering that question during Fall 2007 and the exhibition "Side By Side," on view at the museum March 4 - June 1, is the result of their investigations. The opening reception is scheduled for March 13 at 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.

HOLIDAY CLOSING

BENEFIT AUCTION
The Holyoke Creative Arts Center will be hosting a 90th Anniversary Auction on April 5 to benefit the center. Items for bid include a AAA membership, artwork, a Cape Cod weekend, over 30 unique chairs created by local artists and much more. SPAGHETTI SUPPER
The South Hadley Baseball Association will sponsor a spaghetti supper on March 19 from 5 - 7 p.m. in the South Hadley High School cafeteria. The menu will be all you can eat spaghetti, salad, bread, beverages and desserts. Cost is $5 per person. All proceeds from this event will support the South Hadley freshman and youth baseball programs.

SOUTHWICK
COUNTRY MUSIC JAMBOREE
The Pioneer Valley Pickers and Grinners Country Music Jamboree will take place March 22 at the Congregational Church Fellowship Hall, 488 College Highway (Rte. 202) from 6 - 9:30 p.m. The Nashville Grill Begins serving food at 6 p.m. The Resurrection Airmen Band will perform their unique blend of country, bluegrass and gospel music from 7 - 8 p.m. An open mic and jam will follow until 9:30 p.m. No admission is charged. DOG LICENSES
2007 dog licenses expire March 31. All dogs must be registered for 2008 by May 1 to avoid a late fee. Dog license forms are now available online. If you wish to mail in your dog license renewal, please be sure we have a valid copy of the rabies certificate, a certificate for spaying/neutering, if applicable and a self addressed stamped envelope. Make check payable to The Town of Southwick. Fees are $10 for neutered and spayed dogs, $25 for those not neutered or spayed. Any renewals received after May 1 will receive a $15 late fee. Failure to send in a self addressed stamped envelope will keep the license in house for pick up. The Town Clerk's Office is available 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

BUS TRIP TO SUGAR SHACK
Southwick Senior Center will be taking a trip to North Hadley Sugar Shack on April 16. We will leave at 9 a.m. and return between 1 - 2 p.m. Cost will be $2, not including breakfast. You will enjoy breakfast and also see how maple sugar is made. Seating is limited. Call 569-5498.

ADULT FITNESS/WELLNESS FAIR
The Springfield YMCA is hosting a "New Attitude New You" Fit Fair for adults on March 22 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Health screenings will be provided for blood pressure, cholesterol levels, glucose levels and body composition. SPRINGFIELD STAR

FREE BLOOD PRESSURE
The Chicopee Visiting Nurse Association will offer free blood pressure and glucose readings, which requires fasting, on March 10 from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Hungry Hill Center, lower level of Our Lady of Hope Church.

PEDI-CARE
Nurses from Pedi-care will be at the Hungry Hill Center on March 19 to offer a foot care service. There is a fee for this service and appointments are necessary. Call the Hungry Hill Center at 733-9411 for appts.

WESTFIELD
FALLING WATERS
The Community Education Office at Westfield State College is offering Falling Waters on March 29 from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Water falling, visiting waterfalls that are swollen with melted snow and spring rain, is a favorite pastime. The first waterfall we will visit sits riverside with picnic tables, a small playground and 40 feet of falls. The second fall is especially picturesque, with 30 foot gradual drop followed by 30 foot plunge into a thundering pool. The last fall has a staircase leading to a good place to sit on flat rocks. Wear sturdy hiking boots and bring lunch, water and a camera. Class meets in New Marlborough, Mass. Please register by March 17. Tuition for this course is $119 plus a $10 fee. WORD: THE BASICS
The Community Education Office at Westfield State College is offering Word from March 24 - April 14 on Mondays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. This class is intended for the word processing novice. DISCOUNT TICKETS FOR "COMPANY"
The Westfield Theatre Group will be presenting Stephen Sondheim's musical "Company" and are offering discounted tickets for opening night, April 4 at 8 p.m. General admission seats will be offered at $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. No other offers or discounts will be allowed. This musical comedy depicts the story of Bobby, a 35-year-old single guy in New York City. Bobby's closest friends are five couples who are trying hard to get him married but is he ready? LIBRARY INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE
The W. Springfield Public Library is accepting applications for the Spring 2008 Ruth M. Peck Internship. This opportunity is offered to W. Springfield youth in grades 10 - 12 (or the home-schooled equivalent.) The internship itself will provide interns with a broad view of the roles of libraries and librarians, an overview of behind-the-scenes library operations, and insights into the role of technology in libraries, as well as improved skills for library research. This nine-week, 36-hour internship is a great opportunity to build work experience, improve college applications and earn $500! Applications are available at the W. Springfield Public Library and are due by March 14.

HOLY WEEK
Grace Lutheran Church on Rte. 20 in W. Springfield will be celebrating Holy Week beginning with a Maundy Thursday service on March 20 at 7 p.m. On Good Friday, March 21, the church members will be taking part in a community ecumenical walk through the city and visiting various churches with readings and reflections based on the stations of the cross. Anyone interested in participating in this walk may join them at noon at Immaculate Conception on Main Street in W. Springfield. That evening at 7 p.m., Grace will hold a service in solemn remembrance of Jesus' death on the cross. On Easter Sunday, March 23, they will gather at the flagpole at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with a Sunrise Service taking place at approximately 6:15 a.m. This service will be followed by a community breakfast and their main Easter celebration service which will take place at 9:30 a.m. in their santuary. All are welcome.
