PULMONARY HEALTH
Heritage Hall West will sponsor a community educational seminar, "It's Not Easy Being Wheezy! Helping Yourself to Better Pulmonary Health" on March 20 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Take advantage of this resource to help you understand the challenges of pulmonary disease and the steps you can take to better manage your pulmonary health. NURSING AND HEALTHCARE EDUCATION CAREER FAIR
The Heritage Hall Campus will host its annual Nursing and Healthcare Career Education Fair on March 26 from 1 - 4 p.m. Participants will be able to meet with several local colleges to discuss their nursing programs in a convenient and friendly setting. The fair will be for both those just considering becoming a nurse and those wanting to further their nursing education. "ONCE UPON A MATTRESS"
Come see the musical comedy "Once Upon a Mattress" written by Mary Rogers and Marshall Barer. This entertaining story is based on "The Princess and the Pea." Performances will be April 3 - 4 at 7 p.m. in the Agawam High School auditorium (show rating is PG). FAREWELL DINNER
A farewell dinner for Father Dan and Meg who are leaving for their new parish in Rhode Island will take place April 4 at St. David's Episcopal Church, 699 Springfield St., Feeding Hills. A stuffed chicken breast dinner with the trimmings will be served. We will gather at 6 p.m. for a social hour, with dinner at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person, with a portion of each ticket sale going toward a farewell gift. Children under five are free, but must have a ticket for an accurate count. Purchase your tickets following each service or in the parish office. All tickets must be purchased by March 30. LEARN ABOUT EASTER STORY
Good Friday Stations of the Cross and Easter Egg Hunt, March 21 at 9:30 a.m. Join us for an age appropriate presentation of the last days of Jesus. Children will learn about the Easter story and celebrate with an Easter egg hunt. All are welcome.

"HOOP IT UP!"
The Agawam Center Library Association is sponsoring "Hoop It Up!" a hula hooping class for adults on April 1 at 6:30 p.m. Shenandoah Sluter will offer a hooping demo and class for adults. She will also share the story of how she started "hooping" and how she creates her colorful hoops of art. CHICOPEE
OLDER ADULT TAX REBATE ASSISTANCE
Older adults who do not file income tax returns and who earn at least $3,000 and less than $18,500 must complete a form this year in order to receive the stimulus package rebate. The form is available in the senior center, 7 Valley View Ct. There will be workshops to help those older adults who need assistance completing the forms on March 20 starting at 11 a.m. The workshops will continue until April 4 starting at 9 a.m. For more info and to register for the workshops, call the Council on Aging at 534-3698.

April Adventures Vacation Program
The Chicopee Parks & Rec. Dept. is now taking sign ups for its annual "April Adventures" vacation program for kids ages six - 12. The program, taking place at Barry School, runs April 22 - 25 and provides a field trip each day. Field trips include Showcase Cinemas, Chuck E. Cheese, Interskate 91 South and Bowling at the AMF Lanes. Program time is from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. The daily cost is based on the field trip as well as classification of residency and non-residency. Pre-registration is mandatory for this first come-first paid program which has a maximum number of openings for enrollment. For more info, contact Dan at the Parks Dept. at 594-3481.

SPRINGFIELD FALCONS
The Springfield Falcons season is coming to an end and are once again offering all Falcons home game tickets to now be available at the Chicopee Parks & Rec. Dept. Simply show up at the Chicopee Parks Dept. and purchase ticket vouchers that can be redeemed at the will-call window for any home hockey game throughout the season. Ticket price for children and adults is $11 per ticket. For every ticket purchased the Parks Dept. will get $1 back for Parks Dept. youth activities. All tickets purchased for this game must be purchased by noon Friday or the day before the game. Purchase tickets way in advance to see your Falcons play the team of your choice. OGUNQUIT, MAINE TRIP
The Chicopee Senior Travel Club is going to Ogunquit, Maine June 10 - 12 on a three-day getaway. Tour will include accommodations at the Ogunquit River Plantation, four meals including a lobster bake, tour and tasting at the Redhook Ale Brewing Co., Kennebunkport guided tour, Nubble Lighthouse cruise, show at the Ogunquit Playhouse, visit to Perkins Cove and Kittery shopping; all taxes and gratuities and trip cancellation insurance. CENTER CLOSED
The Chicopee Senior Center will close for the holiday at 12:30 p.m. on March 21 and reopen at 8 a.m. on March 24.

COLLECTIBLE SHOW
Collectible show, sponsored by the Nativity BVM Parish Council, April 6 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., in Nativity Church Hall, 780 Chicopee St. The show will feature coins, sports and non-sports cards and sets, wax boxes, vintage cards, card supplies, autographs, comic books, NASCAR racing and more. Forty-seven ground level spaces, handicap accessible. Free parking, prizes drawn every 30 minutes, free give-away items at the door. Admission $10; children under 10 free. PORK ROAST DINNER

MEN'S GROUP
There is a new Men's Group at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 10 a.m. This group is designed for men who are looking to be part of a large circle of their peers. The group will discuss a variety of topics each month and will be open to topics that a member of the group may wish to discuss. CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP
Caring for a loved one can be a 24 hour job leaving little time for other things. It is important to take care of yourself so that you will remain healthy and be able to continue in your caregiving role. On March 25, a support group for those providing care will meet at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. from 3 - 4 p.m. It is free of charge and if you would like more info or to register, call 534-3698.

IN GOOD COMPANY
In Good Company is a support group that can help people who are feeling blue or experiencing mild depression. Coming to a support group at the Senior Center and being with others can help you to feel better. The support group is now held on the fourth Tues. of every month. The next meeting will be March 25 at 10 a.m. at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. There is no fee for this program. BOOK AND CLOTHING SALE

Roast Steak Dinner
The Thursday night roast steak dinner, scheduled for March 20 has been canceled, as it is during Holy Week. Please join us again in April, when our first and third Thursday Nite Dinners resume. "THE LOVES OF CASS MCGUIRE"
The Irish Cultural Center at Elms College in Chicopee announces a bus trip to Worcester to attend Pilgrim Soul Productions of Brian Friel's Irish play "The Loves of Cass McGuire." The play takes place on May 2 at 8 p.m. in the Worcester Ancient Order of Hibernians Cultural Center. Tickets are $40 for members, $45 for non-members. YOGA CLASS
The Abundant Wellness Center, 94 Chicopee St., Chicopee, is offering the March 25 yoga class at no charge. This offer is good only for the March 25 evening class starting at 5:45 p.m. This beginner's yoga class will include some basic yoga postures, focus on breathing and centering which is important to obtain a calm mind and end with relaxation. BIENNIAL QUILT SHOW
The "Pieces of Time" quilt show will begin on April 4 at 4 p.m. and continue throughout the weekend at the Castle of Knights Meeting and Banquet House, 1599 Memorial Dr., Chicopee. The show will feature over 150 quilts to view and admire. There will also be fun demonstrations, over 15 craft vendors, and great food. The hours for the show are: April 4, 4 - 8 p.m.; April 5, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and April 6, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

HOLYOKE
SIDE BY SIDE
What is it that makes comparing two works of art so powerful? What do we see when we examine things side by side that we don't see when we look at objects individually? The docents of the Mt. Holyoke College Art Museum set about answering that question during Fall 2007 and the exhibition "Side By Side," on view at the museum March 4 - June 1, is the result of their investigations. The opening reception is scheduled for March 13 at 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.

HOLIDAY CLOSING

BENEFIT AUCTION
The Holyoke Creative Arts Center will be hosting a 90th Anniversary Auction on April 5 to benefit the center. Items for bid include a AAA membership, artwork, a Cape Cod weekend, over 30 unique chairs created by local artists and much more. SPAGHETTI SUPPER
The South Hadley Baseball Association will sponsor a spaghetti supper on March 19 from 5 - 7 p.m. in the South Hadley High School cafeteria. The menu will be all you can eat spaghetti, salad, bread, beverages and desserts. Cost is $5 per person. All proceeds from this event will support the South Hadley freshman and youth baseball programs.

SOUTHWICK
"SHIFTING GEARS"
A free workshop to help elderly stay safe behind the wheel will take place April 14 at 12:30 p.m. at the Southwick Town Hall Senior Center.

Dog licenses
2007 Dog licenses expire March 31. All dogs must be registered for 2008 by May 1 to avoid a late fee. Dog license forms are now available online. If you wish to mail in your dog license renewal, please be sure we have a valid copy of the rabies certificate, a certificate for spaying/neutering, if applicable and a self addressed stamped envelope. Make check payable to The Town of Southwick. Fees are $10 for neutered and spayed dogs, $25 for those not neutered or spayed. Failure to send in a self addressed stamped envelope will keep the license in house for pick up. The Town Clerk's Office is available 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

SPRINGFIELD STORYTELLERS

The Springfield Rotary Club announced Domenic Sarno, Mayor of Springfield, will address the Springfield Rotary Club's luncheon meeting on March 21. MOTHER'S DAY VENDOR FAIR
Applications are now being accepted for a Mother's Day Vendor Fair to take place on May 3 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Greenleaf Community, Parker Street. The cost per 10' x 8' space is $30. EASTER BREAKFAST
The Springfield Rescue Mission will be hosting an Easter breakfast for the hungry and homeless in the Greater Springfield area on March 22 at 7 a.m. at their 19 Bliss St. location. Last year the group fed nearly 100 people and this year expect to feed more. In addition to holiday meals, the group serves breakfast to the public Monday - Saturday.

DANCE CLASS FOR TEENS
Dunbar Community Center presents a free Modern/Contemporary dance class now being offered for the teens. Come take advantage of an opportunity to learn "The Lester Horton Technique." Starting March 12, classes are being offered every Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. (until June). Sign up today. The class is free.

UNDIE SUNDAY
The Daughters Of The King (DOK) at St. Peter's Episcopal Church is asking for donation new men's underwear (shorts, briefs, T-shirts, socks) for distribution at the Bliss Street Rescue Mission. "BLACK, WHITE AND COLOR"
The Arnos Maris Gallery at Westfield State College will present the exhibit "Black, White and Color" until March 22, featuring the works of Francine Trearchis Ozereko and Dorothy Osterman. Both artists use ceramics, clay and oil paint in their pieces. The gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday, 2 - 6 p.m.

MONTH CELEBRATING WOMEN
