CHICKEN PIE DINNER
Feeding Hills Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 21 North Westfield St. in Feeding Hills will have a chicken pie dinner on April 5 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Dinner: tossed salad, chicken pie, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, beverage and chocolate or yellow cake. "ONCE UPON A MATTRESS"
"Once Upon a Mattress" presented by Agawam High School Performing Arts Department April 3, 4, 6 (2 p.m.) at 7 p.m. in the Agawam High School auditorium. The cost is $5 students/staff with ID; $10 general public.

MOHEGAN SUN

LIONESS ZITI AND MEATBALL SUPPER
The Agawam Lioness Club will host their annual ziti and meatball supper at the Lion's Den at the Big E. The date to remember is April 10. Serving will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Tickets are $7; children under 10, $4. Tickets may be purchased from any Lioness member or at the door the night of the supper.

WINE TASTING FUNDRAISER

FINANCIAL PLANNING SEMINAR
Heritage Hall Woods Assisting Living will be hosting "Planning for Retirement? FOREIGN FILM FESTIVAL
The Agawam Cultural Council is sponsoring a foreign film festival featuring critically acclaimed contemporary and classic films from Italy and France. Cost for the Sunday afternoon showings is $6 per ticket, which includes hors d'oeuvres before the show. There will be a free drawing for door prizes. All showings will be at Agawam Family Cinemas, 866 Suffield St., and begin at 1:15 p.m. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. The schedule includes "La Vie en Rose" on March 30, "La Cage aux Folles" on April 6, "La Dolce Vita" on April 13 and "Bread and Tulips" on May 4.

PORK LOIN DINNER
St. David's Episcopal Church, 699 Springfield St., Feeding Hills, will be having a pork loin dinner on April 7 at 6 p.m. Menu: pork loin with gravy, mashed potatoes, honey glazed carrots, garden salad, bread and butter, bread pudding with lemon sauce, coffee, tea or lemonade. Tickets: $9 for adults, $4 for children ages five - 12, free for children under five. Tickets can be reserved by calling the church office at 786-6133.

YARD WASTE PASSES AVAILABLE
The 2008 Yard Waste Passes are now available at the Department of Public Works at 1000 Suffield St. Agawam residents are required to obtain passes prior to dropping off yard waste at Bondis Island off Rte. 5. Residents will need to bring in a driver's license and vehicle registration, verifying residency in Agawam in order to obtain passes. Each pass will allow one entrance into the drop off yard. Passes obtained in 2007 will not be allowed for use in 2008. No dump trucks, commercial or business vehicles will be allowed through the gate with a Yard Waste Pass. These vehicle types will be charged directly at the gate.

DISCOUNTED RAIN BARRELS
Agawam will provide 50 SkyJuice Rain Barrels to Agawam residents at the discounted price of $55, almost 40 percent off the retail price of $90. Once the 50 DEP rain barrels are sold, residents may purchase the SkyJuice Rain Barrels for $65. Orders will be taken through April 18. Rain barrel pick-up day is May 3 at the Department of Public Works, 1000 Suffield St. from 9 - 10 a.m. To order call Tracy DeMaio, Environmental Project Coordinator, at 821-0624. Payments must be received by April 18.

CHICOPEE
OGUNQUIT, MAINE TRIP
The Chicopee Senior Travel Club is going to Ogunquit, Maine June 10 - 12 on a three-day getaway. Tour will include accommodations at the Ogunquit River Plantation, four meals including a lobster bake, tour and tasting at the Redhook Ale Brewing Co., Kennebunkport guided tour, Nubble Lighthouse cruise, show at the Ogunquit Playhouse, visit to Perkins Cove and Kittery shopping; all taxes and gratuities and trip cancellation insurance. ANNUAL SPRING FLING
The Chicopee Council on Aging and Senior Center welcomes the change of season with their annual Spring Fling program at the Castle of Knights 4044 on April 8 at noon. The luncheon will be followed by professional magician Joe Bongiovanni who will captivate the audience with an entertaining style of magic effects. Tickets: $20, available in the COA office. All participants will also have a chance to win door prizes. Seats are limited and going fast.

STIMULUS TAX REBATE
Older adults who do not file income tax returns and who earn at least $3,000 and less than $18,500 must complete a form this year in order to receive the stimulus package rebate. The form is available in the senior center, 7 Valley View Ct. There will be workshops to help those older adults who need assistance completing the forms. The workshops will continue until April 4 starting at 9 a.m.

"LIVING AGAIN"
A support group to help those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, no matter when, whether recent or sometime ago will take place April 8 at 1 p.m. at the Chicopee Council on Aging, 7 Valley View Ct. WRITING GROUP
A group of friendly people gather informally in the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. on the first and third Fridays of each month at 1 p.m. Bring paper, a pen or pencil and a desire to share your ideas, imagination, life experiences or dream. HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Baystate VNA and Hospice is currently taking applications to participate in a free Spring Volunteer Training Course. Baystate Hospice, a member of Baystate Health System, is a non-profit agency serving the greater Springfield area, including Chicopee and surrounding towns. The training course is offered free to participants. Plenty of support, education and comradeship will be provided as you help in a deeply meaningful way. A rabies clinic will take place April 12 behind the Town Hall at the Fire Department from 10 a.m. - noon. Cost per animal is $15. Have dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier. SOUTHWICK
BUS TRIP TO CAMBRIDGE, MASS.
The Southwick Senior Center would like to plan a trip in late May or early June to Cambridge, Mass., to take a boat ride on the Charles River, have lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory and shopping. Comedy Basketball Game
The Lions Club of Southwick is sponsoring a Comedy Basketball Game featuring the Great Harlem Rockets Comedy Basketball Team on April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Southwick-Tolland Regional High School Gym. Come watch as they take on the Southwick Lions All-Stars made up of members from the school's basketball team and other local officials. AN IEP FOR MY CHILD
Springfield Parent Advisory Council presents "An IEP For My Child" April 2, 7 - 9 p.m. at Professional Development Center (located in the rear parking lot behind the High School of Science and Technology, 1250 State St.) This workshop will take families step-by-step through the development of the IEP, including how to articulate a vision, using evaluations to write annual measurable goals and how to measure their child's progress. CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR'S LICENSE PREPARATION COURSE
The Home Builders Association of Western Mass. will sponsor a six-session course stating April 16 to help individuals prepare for the Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's Licensing Exam. Sessions will take place at the Home Builders Association Headquarters, 240 Cadwell Dr. for six Wednesdays from 6 - 8:30 p.m. The fee for this course is $250 for a member of the Home Builders Association of Western Mass. and $350 for a non-member. OPEN HOUSE
The Cancer House of Hope, a Westfield and Springfield-based cancer support non-profit organization, will hold an Open House at the Springfield location, 946 Plumtree Rd., on April 8 at 6 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive information about free-of-charge services and programs for people with cancer and their families and friends, meet staff and volunteers and receive a tour of the House. The Open House also welcomes those individuals who work with patients and clients affected by cancer.

BRIDGE TOURNAMENT
Bridge Tournament to take place April 4 - 6 at Melha Shriner's, 133 Longhill St. This tournament will offer players of all levels a chance to compete and is sponsored by the Connecticut Valley chapter of the American Contract Bridge League. STARS OVER SPRINGFIELD
The Springfield Science Museum's large rooftop telescope will be open for public sky-gazing on April 4 at 7:30 p.m. Paul Cardone, a member of the Springfield Stars Club, will present "A Tour around the Universe." AMERICAN HEART ASSOC. EVENTS
The American Heart Association (AHA), the largest voluntary health organization fighting heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases, has released their upcoming April events: April 16 AHA's National Start Walking Day Proclamation by Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno at 11 a.m. on the City Hall steps.
