AGAWAM
GARDEN CLUB MEETING
The next meeting of the Agawam Garden Club will take place March 8 at 7 p.m. at Pheasant Hill Community Room, Feeding Hills. The club meets the second Tuesday of every month at various venues in town.

SENIOR THEATER
Agawam Senior Theater will present "The Prohibition of Harriet Jones" by Steve Henderson on March 7 at 1 p.m. at the Senior Center. For more info, call Joan Linnehan at 821-0605.

LABOR POSTER EXHIBITION
"International Women's Day" an international labor poster exhibit by Stephen Lewis, SEIU LOCAL 509, will be on display at the Agawam Public Library, 750 Cooper St., through March 31. Viewing hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

CHICOPEE
SPAGHETTI SUPPER
The Veterans of Foreign Wars William F. Davitt Ladies Auxiliary Post #625, 374 Front St., will host their spaghetti supper on March 3. They will be serving from 4 to 6 p.m. Cost: $5 for adults and seniors, $4 for children under 10 and $5.25 for take-outs. If unsure because of weather conditions call the post at 594-9821.

"TURNING 65 AND MEDICARE"
Jim Zabik of Bankers Life and Casualty will present a seminar, "Turning 65 and Medicare" at the Chicopee Public Library on March 7 at 6 p.m. The subject covered will be what to do when a person turns 65 years old and wants to go on Medicare. For more info, call 594-1800 ext. 108.

GREATER SPRINGFIELD
CARD, COIN SHOW
Card, Coin and Memorabilia Show will take place March 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chicopee Boys and Girls Club, 580 Meadow St., Chicopee. Admission: $1; kids under 10 free. For info call 593-6046. Handicap accessible; door prize drawing every 30 minutes; free give-aways at the door. All proceeds to benefit the Chicopee Boys and Girls Club.

PLANT SWAPS

HOLYOKE
GARDENING VOLUNTEERS
On March 7 at 6 p.m., Wistariahurst Museum will host an introductory meeting for volunteers interested in working in the mansion's gardens this spring and summer. The primary goal is education and enjoyment of gardening.

ST. PATRICK'S COMMITTEE RAFFLE
The Holyoke St. Patrick's Committee invites the public to the Past President's Raffle for a trip to Ireland or $15,000 cash on March 16 at JP's Restaurant. Music will be provided by "Ireland Parish" featuring Ben Lavelle and Brian Conway. Admission is free. Tickets for the raffle are $100 and are available at JP's Restaurant or by calling Dan Tierney at 533-0909 or any parade member. Proceeds of the raffle are used to defray the cost of the parade.

N.R.A. BASIC PISTOL SAFETY COURSE
An N.R.A. Basic Pistol Safety Course will be offered at the Holyoke Revolver Club Indoor Range, 431 West Cherry St., on March 19 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a hands on shooting experience teaching the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. DIGITAL PHOTO PRESERVATION
Jeremy Smith, digital specialist and archivist with the University of Massachusetts Amherst W.E.B. Dubois Digitizing Project, will lead a basic workshop on organizing and digitizing personal print and digital photography collections. The workshop will take place March 14 at 6 p.m. at Wistariahurst Museum.

AMERICAN HOME DAY
The S. Hadley Women's Club will celebrate American Home Day on March 16 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 319 Granby Road, at 11 a.m. Members will display their crafts and a cooking demonstration and lunch will be offered by Joe Frigo from Frigo's Italian Store. SENIOR CENTER TRIPS
The Senior Center will sponsor the following trips: The River Dance, March 10 at 8 p.m. Cost: $46.50 plus driver gratuity. Holyoke Mall on March 14. Smith College Bulb Show. Cost: $4. PURIM HOLIDAY CELEBRATION
Temple Beth El, 979 Dickinson St., invites all to join the congregation on March 19 at 6:45 p.m. to celebrate Purim. The celebration begins with a light dinner and children's activities, followed by Maariv and Havdalah, the Megillah Reading and dessert. "THIRTEEN AND A DAY"
Journalist Mark Oppenheimer will speak at Temple Beth El on Shabbat on March 12. He will speak about his book, "Thirteen and a Day," at a Kiddush lunch immediately following services, which begin at 9:30 a.m. There is no charge for the lunch, but reservations are required by March 4. WOMEN'S GUILD MEETING
The St. Catherine of Siena, 1023 Parker St., Women's Guild meeting will take place March 1 at 7 p.m. in the Parish Center. The speaker will be Sandy Merrill of "Let's Bead with Sandy." A small participation fee will be asked. Everyone is welcomed, and refreshments will be served.

EXCHANGE CLUB
The Exchange Club of Springfield, an organization for the prevention of child abuse and youth and community service, is hosting a luncheon on March 3 at noon at the 350 Grille on Worthington Street. The annual Blue and Gold Award will be presented to a police officer for outstanding performance in the line of duty. The public is invited at a cost of $15. The Mall Walkers Club at Eastfield Mall will host a free health presentation on March 2 at 9 a.m. in the Food Court. Peter Antonopoulos, D.M.D., of Valley Dental will discuss "Dental Care."
