State Sen. James T. ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME MEETING
The next meeting of the Chicopee Public Schools Athletic Hall of Fame committee will take place March 14, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Chicopee High School, 820 Front St. Nominations sought for the Chicopee High School and Chicopee Comprehensive High School Class of 2011. THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY EVENT
March 27 at 2 p.m., lecture and book signing by noted medium Elaine Kuzmesku at the Bellamy House, 93 Church St. Kuzmesku will speak on "The Making of a Medium." Refreshments. All welcome.

"IN GOOD COMPANY"
In Good Company is a support group that can help people who are feeling blue or experiencing mild depression. Coming to a support group at the senior center and being with others can help you to feel better. The next meeting will take place March 22 at 10 a.m. at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Court. There is no fee for this program. The group is facilitated by a professional who can assist you with coping strategies, information on additional assistance, and support. The group will return to its regularly scheduled day and time in July. For more info call 534-3698.

DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP
The next meeting of the Diabetes Support Group will be on March 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. Diane Weston, R.N. will provide info on ways to manage diabetes, help with your diet plans, provide instruction on the use of a glucometer, info on research and new developments and answer questions. New members are always welcome and for more info call Jared at 534-3698. This program is offered free of charge, although donations are welcome.

ALZHEIMER'S CAREGIVERS GROUP
On March 16, Gerri Bennett, R.N. will provide information on Alzheimer's and support to help provide the best care for your loved one. GRANBY
MOHEGAN BUS TRIP
On April 7 the Friends of Granby Elderly will sponsor a bus trip to the Mohegan Casino. A package of $15 for food and three $5.00 betting tickets will be included. Cost: $20. TANGLEWOOD
The Friends of Granby Elderly is sponsoring a trip to Tanglewood on Aug. 2. The concert will feature the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops Orchestra and the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra along with conductors James Levine, John Williams and Christoph Eschenbach. Fireworks will follow the concert. Seating will be in the Shed. Tickets are $55 pp which includes the bus and the concert. Contact Nancy at 467-9323 for reservations.

GREATER SPRINGFIELD
GIRL SCOUT ALUMNAE ASSOC.
A new Girl Scout Alumnae Association is being formed. There are no dues or membership fees to belong to this association. The association's luncheon will take place May 22, from 12:30 to 3 p.m., at the Sturbridge Host Hotel and Conference Center in Sturbridge. BARK FOR LIFE
Dog Scouts Troop 211 is taking the lead in this fund-raising effort for the American Cancer Society in this year's Bark for Life at Stanley Park in Westfield on April 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a non-competitive walk, complete with a dog trick show, agility run thru's, food, music and games for the dogs. FOXWOODS TRIP

ALLEGRO: INTRODUCTION TO MUSIC
On March 12 from 1 to 3 p.m., Wistariahurst Museum will present a unique opportunity for kids from ages eight to 18 to be introduced to the fascinating world of music. Participants will spend the day as Belle Skinner would in her Music Room at Wistariahurst Museum. Ranging from the 15th to the late 19th century, picture of Skinner's rare musical instrument collection that is now housed at Yale University will be viewed and discussed. Youths will enjoy music of different genres and time periods, including live music. Activities will also include letting the music flow onto paper, an experiment creating art through sound. The program will conclude with each participant assembling his or her own, original musical instrument to take home. There are many youth programs available at Wistariahurst Museum. MAPLE SUGARING TRIP

ART SHOW AND SALE

LENTEN LUNCHEONS
Trinity United Methodist Church's annual Lenten Luncheons begin March 11 and continue every Friday during Lent. Try some of the church's homemade clam chowder, famous lobster roll and homemade pie. Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Asbury Hall. The Fosterians of Foster Memorial Church will host their annual Rummage/Tag Sale in Fellowship Hall on March 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located at the corner of Wilbraham Road and Parker Street in 16 Acres Center. TRIP TO CULINARY INSTITUTE
Mary Mother of Hope Parish, 840 Page Blvd., is sponsoring a trip to the Culinary Institute of America with a visit to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library, Museum & Home on June 24. CHILDREN'S PLAY GROUP

ST. PATRICK'S DAY LUNCHEON

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES
Grace Lutheran Church will observe Ash Wednesday, March 9, with a noon service followed by a light community meal, and an evening service at 6:30 p.m. Over the next five weeks the congregation will come together on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6 p.m. for a light meal of soup and bread, brief video selections from the "Nooma" series and groups discussion. The Westfield Homeless Cat project, a no kill rescue organization, has many beautiful cats and kittens ready for adoption.
