AGAWAM
SPRING ARTS FESTIVAL
The high school's Spring Arts Festival will take place May 14 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. This is a combination of an arts festival and performances by the chorus and jazz and concert band. General admission is $5 for all three events and $2 for students.

BAND CONCERT
The middle, junior high and senior high school bands will perform in the high school gym on May 19 at 6 p.m. General admission is $3. Agawam T-shirts and logos will be sold.

PARENT MEETINGS
Brief monthly meetings for parents and students in the high school band will take place the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the band room. For more info, call Denise at 786-6817 or Sue at 786-4789.

BEGINNERS YOGA
The Senior Center will be offering beginners yoga, taught by certified instructor MaryAnn Dietschler, on Mondays from 1 - 2:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 8:15 - 9:30 a.m. in the multi purpose room. Cost: $4/person. Suggested items to bring: yoga mat, water, a pillow and blanket.

LIONS OPEN HOUSE
The Agawam Lions will host an open house May 17 from noon - 5 p.m. at the high school. Admission and parking are free. For more info, contact Ron at 786-6633.

CHICOPEE
CANDLELIGHT ROSARY SERVICE
The Fairview K of C #4044, 1599 Memorial Drive, will host its semi-annual candlelight living rosary service on May 20 at 7 p.m. in their banquet facility led by Council Chaplain Rev. Roland Galipeau. This short but meaningful ceremony honors Mary, our Lady of the Rosary. This ceremony features a live music program and light refreshments will be served afterwards.

IN GOOD COMPANY
The next meeting of "In Good Company" support group will be on May 26 at 10 a.m. at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. There is no fee for program. The group is facilitated by a professional who can assist you with coping strategies, info on additional assistance and support. For more info call 534-3698.

SPRING TAG AND BAKE SALE
Faith United Methodist Church, 191 Montcalm St., spring tag and bake sale is taking place May 16, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Bargains, baked goods, jewelry, collectables, clothes, furniture, books, toys and more. Food will be available all day.

SPAGHETTI SUPPER
Faith United Methodist Church, 191 Montcalm St., will host a spaghetti supper May 21, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Cost: $6, adult; $3, children 8 - 12; free for children under eight. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, homemade desserts, coffee and cold drinks. Take out is available. Call 533-6093 after 2 p.m. Handicap accessible to the Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary.

MEN'S GROUP
There is a Men's Group that meets monthly at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. This group is designed for men who are looking to be part of a large circle of their peers. The group will discuss a variety of topics each month and will be open to any topic. The next meeting will be on May 18 at 10 a.m. Anyone interested in attending this group or for more info call Jared Krok at 534-3698.

ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP
Providing care for a loved one with Alzheimer's is a 24-hour job. Taking time for yourself is important. Attending a support group can be rewarding, informational and beneficial in reducing stress. On May 20, Gerri Bennett, R.N. will provide info on Alzheimer's. The program will meet at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct., at 3:30 p.m. There is no cost for this program. SOCCER CAR WASH
May 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at City Tire on Memorial Drive. Proceeds will benefit AJAC.

HOLYOKE
TRIP TO FOXWOODS
The Holyoke Golden Seniors are taking a trip to Foxwoods on May 26. Cost is $20. Call Jane Masse at 536-6470 for reservations.

VOLLEYBALL REGISTRATION
Registration for the Holyoke YMCA's men's, women's and inter-scholastic volleyball leagues is now being accepted. Team registrations are encouraged. Games are played either Monday or Wednesday evenings at the Holyoke YMCA. WISTERIA VINES IN BLOOM
Wistariahurst Museum, built in 1868, was the home to the William Skinner Family. The Skinner name was world famous for the Skinner and Sons Silk Mills in Holyoke. The property is named for the expansive wisteria vines that cover the mansion. These 100 year old vines bloom once a year for several weeks. Come and enjoy one of the most spectacular displays of wisteria in the Valley, now in bloom. The museum is located at 238 Cabot St. For more info call 322-5660.

A DAY OF RENEWAL
A time of reflection and looking forward will take place May 24 from 2 - 5 p.m. at the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Assisi, 1039 Northampton St. Bereavement Outreach of St. Stanislaus Basilica is sponsoring this meeting, and invites anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one to share this time of fellowship. Deacon James Conroy of Life Ministries of the Diocesan Office will be sharing the afternoon with us with a presentation, followed by a time of discussion and prayer. FOOT CARE SERVICE
Foot care service by Pedi-care nurses is on May 20 by appt. There is a fee for this service. Appointments can be made by calling the Hungry Hill Center, 733-9411. The center is located at 494 Armory St., lower level of Our Lady of Hope Church.

NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETING
Hungry Hill Neighborhood Council meeting May 21 at 7 p.m. Representatives from the Springfield Police and Mayor Sarno's Quality of Life liaison are at this meeting to hear residents' concerns, etc. Refreshments will be served. COME DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY
The Springfield Dept. of Elder Affairs will host a Ballroom Dance at Greenleaf Community Center, 1187 1/2 Parker St., on May 21 from 6 - 9 p.m. with music by Richie Mitnick. (The Community Center is located behind the 16 Acres Library.) Dances are only $5 per person. Refreshments will served. Come and take pleasure with an evening filled with magnificent music, to dance or just to sit back and listen.

LUNCHEON AND CRUISE
St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 45 Buckingham St., will sponsor a luncheon and cruise from Narragansett Bay to Newport on June 27. There will be live entertainment and two hours to tour Newport. GAY CHORUS PERFORMANCE
The Pioneer Valley Gay Men's Chorus will sing at 10 a.m. worship at South Congregational Church, 45 Maple St., on May 17 as part of the church's 9th anniversary of voting to become an open and affirming congregation to the GLBT community. DUO-PIANO CONCERT
