WINDSOR ARTS FESTIVAL The Windsor Arts Festival will take place at Agawam High School on Dec. 13 from 7 - 9 p.m. A $5 donation is required and all funds will go to the Agawam High School Choir. HOLIDAY BAZAAR The Heritage Hall campus annual holiday bazaar will take place Nov. 27 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in all five buildings of the campus. Get your holiday shopping done early with over 40 vendors of crafts, jewelry, gift baskets, cosmetics, candles, artwork, and much more. HOLLY WREATH BAZAAR Annual Holly Wreath Bazaar Nov. 17, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St. Home baked foods, plants, wreaths, attic treasurers, clothes boutique, candy and craft tables will be featured. CHICOPEE Oldies Dance "Vietnam Veterans of America, Western Mass. Chapter One-Eleven will be sponsoring an Oldies Dance on Saturday, November 17, starting at 7 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Council 69, on Granby Rd., in Chicopee, located across from the Elks Club. All proceeds from the dance will go to Chapter One-Eleven to help them to continue their work on behalf of Vietnam veterans and their families."

YOGA AT CHICOPEE PUBLIC LIBRARY The Chicopee Public Library, 449 Front St. welcomes Carolyn Ruszala, a licensed yoga instructor from Chicopee, Nov. 17 from 2-3 p.m. in the community room of the library. Yoga is a wonderful way to stretch, realign, relax, and energize your body You do not need to have experience to try this class. Ruszala will teach gentle stretching, strengthening postures, breathing awareness and mindfulness mediation, along with deep relaxation. Wear comfortable, stretchy clothes, and be prepared to be barefoot or in socks. Feel free to bring any yoga equipment you may already have. FINANCIAL TALK The Chicopee Public Library will welcome Alex Lak from the Edward Jones investment firm Nov. 17 from noon-1:30 p.m., to give a talk addressing a number of financial and investment issues. He will discuss "Building a Strong Financial Foundation" and will introduce basic investment concepts as well as the importance of having an investment strategy, buying and selling quality investments, the value of time in the market and the concept of risk tolerance. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Volunteer drivers are needed to drive Chicopee Council on Aging vehicles to take older adults to medical appointments, for personal business or to come to the Chicopee Senior Center. Volunteers may work any schedule desired. The Council provides transportation between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. using cars and vans. MEN'S GROUP There is a new Men's Group at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Court, Chicopee. The group is held on the fourth Mon. of each month at 10 a.m. This group is designed for men who are looking to be part of a large circle of their peers. The group discusses a variety of topics each month and will be open to topics that a member of the group may wish to discuss. IN GOOD COMPANY In Good Company is a support group than can help people who are feeling blue or experiencing mild depression. Coming to a support group at the senior center and being with others can help you to feel better. The support group is held on the fourth Tues. of every month at 10 a.m. The next meeting will be held Nov. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. There is no fee for this program. The group is facilitated by a professional who can assist you with coping strategies, info on additional assistance and support. CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP Caring for a loved one can be a 24-hour job leaving little time for other things. It is important to take care of yourself so that you will remain healthy and be able to continue in your caregiving role. One of the ways to help with this is by attending a support group with other caregivers. On Nov. 27 a support group for those providing care will be held at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. from 3-4 p.m. It is free of charge and if you would like more info or to register, call 534-3698. The Caregivers Support Group meets once a month on the fourth Tues. and is facilitated by Jared Krok, social service coordinator and Ken Sibley, Chicopee Visiting Nurse Association.
BEGINNER TAP CLASSES Beginner tap classes are offered on Mon. from 2-2:45 p.m. by Diane Shields at the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. BEADING THE NEXT STEP A four-week session on how to make beaded jewelry will begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 21 and continue on Nov. 28, Dec. 5 and 19 in the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. GREATER SPRINGFIELD A SIMPLE LULLABY The Hartsbrook School in Hadley presents "A Simple Lullaby," Wednesdays, Nov. 14 - Dec. 19, 9 - 11 a.m. 94 Bay Rd., Hadley. Taught by Jacqueline Auwaerter, participants will share ideas; allow ourselves to be child-like and lulled; learn and compose lullabies; and do some sleep related crafts. 10 YEAR REUNION The 10 year reunion for the Minnechaug Regional High School class of 1997 will be Nov. 24 at the Country Club of Wilbraham. HOLYOKE GINGERBREAD HOUSE HOLIDAY FAIR St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 34 Jarvis Ave. will hold its annual Gingerbread House Holiday Fair from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 1. The fair offers many unique items for sale, including handmade ornaments, angels, quilts, holiday gifts, homemade candy and Christmas trees. A deli shoppe will offer take-out items such as homemade spaghetti sauce, meatballs, baked beans, meat pies and other items from the kitchens of church members. St. Peter's youth group, The Spys, will make and sell homemade soup and sandwiches for lunch. The public is invited to come to the fair, renew old acquaintances, make some new friends and enjoy the day. SOUTHWICK COUNTRY MUSIC JAMBOREE The Pioneer Valley Pickers and Grinners Country Music Jamboree will be held Nov. 24 at the Congregational Church Fellowship Hall, 488 College Highway (RT 202) in Southwick from 6 - 9:30 p.m. The Nashville Grill Begins serving food at 6 p.m. The Resurrection Airmen Band will perform their unique blend of country, bluegrass and Gospel music from 7- 8 p.m. An open mic and jam will follow until 9:30 p.m. Musicians playing country music are welcome along with those who just want to listen or dance. ANNUAL THANKSGIVING MEAL Open Pantry Community Services, Inc. will be hosting its annual Thanksgiving Meal on Nov. 22 at the High School of Commerce, 415 State St. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and the meal will be served at noon. Volunteers are needed to help prepare food, serve dinner, and deliver meals to people who are elderly, infirm or physically challenged in Springfield. HUNGRY HILL NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETING There will be a meeting of the Hungry Hill Neighborhood Council on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Hungry Hill Center, lower level of Our Lady of Hope Church. WESTFIELD BALLROOM SOCIAL DANCING Ballroom Social Dancing at the YMCA of Greater Westfield starts Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. and ends Jan. 14, 2008, (no classes Dec. 24 and Dec. 31). ADVANCED BALLROOM DANCING The Community Education Office at Westfield State College is offering an Advanced Ballroom Dancing class from Nov. 26 - Dec. 17 on Mondays from 7- 9 p.m. Students will review some of their favorite dance steps while learning how to follow and/or lead better, perfect timing and rhythm, and learn some advanced styling techniques. EMT BASIC REFRESHER COURSE The Community Education Office at Westfield State College is offering an EMT Basic Refresher Course from Dec. 14 - 16 from 8:30 a.m. 5 p.m. This EMT Basic Refresher educational program consists of 24 classroom hours, which is standard among National Standard Curricula. Topics to be covered include: Preparatory, Airway, Patient Assessment, Medical/Behavioral, Trauma, Obstetrics, Infants & Children, Operations. LECTURE SERIES The Community Education Office at Westfield State College is offering an EMT Continuing Education Lecture Series from Dec. 14 - 16 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. The EMT Continuing Education Lecture series is designed to provide continuing education credits for EMT's and is a part of their refresher training. EMT's can earn up to 12 hours of credit toward the required 28 hours necessary for recertification at the Basic EMT level. Specific topics will be announced later. Sign up for one, two, or three sessions. The tuition for this course is $35 for one session, $ 65 for two, or $ 75 for all three sessions plus a $10 registration fee.
