Agawam Public Library is continuing their yearly tradition of collecting food for local families. Event is organized by the Library's Teen Advisory Council and will run through Nov. 20. Non-perishable goods can be dropped off in the library lobby Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; or Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Santa is coming to St. John's Church of Agawam, 833 Main St., its annual Church Bazaar on Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be jewelry, toys, books, hand made crafts, including knitting articles, bake goods, etc. Basket raffles and food available.
The Chicopee Parks and Recreation Dept. is offering two eight-week yoga classes with new yoga instructor Claudia Johnsen. Yoga stretching for the beginner (gentle) or next level students Nov. 17 and are on Wednesdays 5:45 to 7 p.m. Moderate-intermediate classes also Wednesday 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. All classes at new Chicopee Comp fitness room, located on the first floor in the back of the school. POLISH CHRISTMAS KOLENDY
The Society of Polish American Culture will host a Christmas carol sing-along and party on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. in the downstairs dining room of the Chicopee Lodge of Elks. Full Polish-style dinner, holiday music by Lenny Golmulka and associate from the "Chicago Push" Polka Band. Audience sing of Polish Christmas carols (kolendy). Giant raffle. NYC BUS TRIP
Harmony House will host a bus trip to New York City on Dec. 5. Bus will depart at 7 a.m. from the parking lot of the Home Depot on Memorial Avenue in Chicopee and leaves NYC at 6 p.m. Choice of three stops: Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rockefeller Center/Radio City Music Hall or Macy's Department Store. Cost of the trip is $45 per person and the profits benefit Harmony House, a compassionate home for terminally ill individuals who lack financial resources or an able caregiver to care for them.

FREE CAR SEAT CHECK
The Holyoke Fire Department is urging all parents and caregivers to get their child safety seat inspected free on Nov. 20 at Holyoke Rows, Jones Ferry Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fire department will have national certified technicians available to provide on-site child safety seat installations and education.

Westfield State University is offering "Hiking the Holyoke Range" on Nov. 20. We will be hiking the Metacomet-Monadnock Trail to the top of Mt. Norwotuck.
