AGAWAM
POT ROAST DINNER
St. David's Episcopal Church, 699 Springfield St. in Feeding Hills, pot roast dinner Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. The menu will include pot roast, oven roasted red potatoes, honey glazed carrots, garden salad, bread and butter, apple crisp with ice cream and coffee, tea or lemonade. Tickets are $9, adults; $4, children ages five to 12 and free for children under five. Tickets can be reserved by calling the church office at 786-6133.

DONATE WINTER CLOTHING
You can help a child keep warm during the cold weather months by donating a brand new winter hat, mittens, or gloves to a child in need now through Dec. 16. All donated items will be given to Baystate Children's Hospital to distribute at the hospital's pediatric health centers for those patients in need of warm winter clothing. Girls and boys hats and mittens are needed, with sizes ranging from toddlers to teenagers. Drop boxes will be located at the Westfield Athenaeum at 6 Elm St. in Westfield in the both the adult and boys and girls section as well as at Fitness First at 60 North Westfield St. in Feeding Hills. PANCAKES WITH SANTA
The John F. Kennedy Council #5585 of the Knights of Columbus will hold their annual "Pancake Breakfast with Santa" Nov. 25 from 8 a.m. - noon at St. John's Parish Center, 833 Main St. Pancakes, sausages, orange juice, coffee, tea or milk will be served. The price is $4.50 per adult, children 10 and under free. Santa will be there to talk to the children and to have a picture taken with him. Each child will receive a gift from Santa. A DAY OF RENEWAL
A time of community will be held on Dec. 2 at the St. Stanislaus School library, Front St. from 1-4 p.m. The Bereavement Outreach of St. Stanislaus Basilica is sponsoring this afternoon of hope and help for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. BEGINNER TAP CLASSES

BEADING: THE NEXT STEP
A four-week session on how to make beaded jewelry will begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 21 and continue on Nov. 28, Dec. 5 and 19 in the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteer drivers are needed to drive Chicopee Council on Aging vehicles to take older adults to medical appointments, for personal business or to come to the Chicopee Senior Center. Volunteers may work any schedule desired. The Council provides transportation between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. using cars and vans. Interested persons should contact either Pete Hebert or Lisa Padykula, transportation coordinators, at 536-5733.

WRITING GROUP
A group of friendly people gather informally in the Chicopee Senior Center, 7 Valley View Ct. on the first and third Friday of each month at 1 p.m. Bring paper, a pen or pencil and a desire to share your ideas, imagination, life experiences or dreams. YOGA CLASS
From now to Dec. 11 Chicopee Council on Aging is offering gentle yoga class on Tues. from 2:30-3:30 p.m. "Yes, You Can! Gentle Stretch Yoga Class" can help increase flexibility, strength and balance. IRISH CABARET

COLLECTIBLE SHOW
Collectible Show, sponsored by the Nativity BVM Parish Council, will take place Dec. 2 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Nativity Church Hall, 70 Chicopee St. The show will feature coins, sports and non-sports cards and sets, wax boxes, vintage cards, card supplies, autographs, comic books, videos, NASCAR racing, gift items and more. HAT AND MITTEN DRIVE
Granby Public Library is looking for your help as we start our annual "Warm the Heart" campaign. We are accepting donations of new hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, clothing, socks, slippers and underwear from children's sizes to adult XL. We are also looking for new items such as teddy bears, games, puzzles, books, journals, crayons, markers, play-doh and small toys for distribution to the Providence Behavioral Hospital Child/Adolescent Unit and the Broderick House of Holyoke. Age range is from four to 18 years old. This is our ninth year organizing this event. Help us to make this our most successful year ever and to warm the hearts of many this holiday season. HOME-BASED BUSINESS WORKSHOP
The Agawam Small Business Assistance Center will hold Home-Based Business workshop on Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. at the Agawam Public Library on Cooper Street. This workshop addresses the laws regarding home-based businesses with specific information gleaned from communities throughout the area. This workshop is open to residents of the Pioneer Valley. The workshop will be conducted by Atty. Abbe McLane of Feeding Hills and will help you navigate your way through all the unexpected issues that confront any new business. THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE
The Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox communities of Greater Springfield will come together for an ecumenical Thanksgiving service to be held Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Cathedral, 28 State St., Springfield. A reception will immediately follow in the Bishop Marshall Center adjacent to St. Michael's Cathedral. All are welcome.

CANDLEPIN BOWLING
Unified Sports Program is working with the Agawam Bowl on Walnut Street to offer kids ages three - 18 the opportunity to play candlepin bowling. The program will be free to all participants but a commitment will be needed to show up each week. If your child signs up and can not attend, a call will need to be made so we can get someone on the waiting list to step in. We have 10 lanes, which will allow us to have 30 participants plus another 10 "mentors" from our college and high school volunteers. The spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis with a goal of 15 children with special needs being involved. If interested, please go to the YMCA of Greater Westfield to sign up. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD AND THE KING

The Congregational Church of South Hadley Falls will hold a dinner Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. The menu will consist of Yankee pot roast, salad, roasted red potatoes, carrots, rolls, gravy, gingerbread with whipped cream, coffee, tea, milk and juice. It's our second annual toys for tots drive at Pasquales Restaurant on Dec. 2 from 1-5 p.m. sponsored by Tony and Angelo Commisso. ART SHOW/SALE
The Mission Phoenix Arts Project and Nehemiah Ministries Inc. present their second annual art show/sale, "Phoenix: Artistic Expressions From Our Diversity." FIRST HOUR FORUMS
The public is invited to attend the Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield's First Hour Forum from 9 - 10 a.m. before the Sunday service in the Balcony Room, second floor. Forums offer presentation, dialogue and interactive conversation about current events and/or a topic of special interest.
