Christmas Collection Craft Fair
The First Congregational Church at the rotary is hosting its annual Christmas Collection Craft Fair on Nov. 7 from 8:30 - 3 p.m. There will be nearly 50 juried crafters as well as themed gift baskets, Chinese auction and more. HEALTHY SHOPPING AND COOKING
Reps from the Food Bank will be at the Pleasant View Senior Center, 328 N. Main St., on Oct. 29 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Learn how to create healthy meals for one or two people on a budget. Register by calling 525-5436.

VETERANS LUNCHEON
We will honor area veterans at a special luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 10 at the Pleasant View Senior Center, 328 N. Main St. Guest speakers will be featured and entertainer Liz Carter will provide music. No charge for veterans, non-veterans are $3. Call 525-5436 for reservations; seating is limited.

FRIENDS OF RECREATION

HALLOWEEN PARTY

TRIPLE PASTA DINNER
The Minnechaug Scholarship Foundation will be hosting the annual Triple Pasta Dinner on Nov. 2 at La Cucina at the Hampden House from 6 - 8 p.m. Cost: $15 per person. GARDEN TALK
"Putting Your Garden to Bed" is the topic to be presented by Master Gardener Elaine Williamson on Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Longmeadow Adult Center. Learn what to do to clean up and prepare your garden for the winter. Register at 565-4150.

CHAIR YOGA CLASSES

DROP IN STITCHES AT STORRS
The Philip Michael Lauro II Discovery Room at the Storrs Library will offer an advanced Drop-in Stitches for student knitters and crocheters in grade 4 and above. This drop-in group is for stitchers who are working on projects and need guidance. We meet each Fri. from 3:15 - 4:45 p.m. in the Discovery Room.

MASTERS SWIM PROGRAM
For fitness and master swimmers and athletes. Participants will learn working stroke and conditioning techniques, leading to competition level. Museum historian Dr. Ann Millin will examine how the Nazis employed propaganda to help acquire power and create a climate of hatred, suspicion and indifference that facilitated their campaign of violence and genocide against those they deemed undesirable. TALENT SHOW
"Let Your Light Shine" Talent Show will be at St. Mary's parish on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at 56 Bliss Rd. Musicians, singers, teams of performers are all lining up for the perfect performance! This show will benefit "Food for the Soul," a social justice ministry of St. Mary's. This is a free will offering event; let your light shine by helping others within their communities. AROUND THE WORLD STORYTIME
AuPairCare and the Storrs Library are excited to announce Story Time from Around the World on Nov. 7 from 10 - 11:30 a.m. Designed for ages 3 and up, it will focus on cultures and people from other countries. Local au pairs will be reading to the children, teaching some simple words in their native languages, and helping them with a craft. Pre-registration is required. VETERANS' CIRCLE
The Veteran's Circle at the Longmeadow Adult Center, 231 Maple Rd., meets on the first Wed. of each month at 1 p.m. The meetings deal with requested topics, general questions, sharing of experiences, host speakers, etc. On Nov. 4 William Albano, who has recently returned from Afghanistan, will give a slideshow presentation. YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUES
Instructional program for girls and boys in grades 1 - 8. Everyone makes a team. Program emphasizes fundamentals and teamwork. Anyone interested in coaching should sign up during registration. Program runs mid-November - March with practices and games at Longmeadow school gyms. Optional travel teams are available for players in grades 3 - 8 for an additional fee. A TRIBUTE TO VETERANS
The Atheneum Society of Wilbraham announces an open house and "A Tribute to Veterans" at the Old Meeting House, 450 Main St., on Nov. 1 from 2 - 4 p.m.

The Enchanted Circle
The Wilbraham Women's Club will host its next meeting on Nov. 12 at noon at the St. Cecilia Parish Center. A lunch of sandwiches and desserts will be served, after which there will be a short meeting. For our knowledge and entertainment, we will be given a presentation called "The Enchanted Circle: Making a Difference in Holyoke." Wilbraham United Players are taking reservations for a Mystery Dinner Theatre production taking place Nov. 13 and 14 at the Wilbraham Country Club.
