BOOK TALK
The Agawam Public Library, 750 Cooper St., will host a Book Talk with Ann Favreau, author of "Window Eyes," on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. She provides unique perspectives of her experiences in various countries. CHURCH DINNER

COMPUTER CLASS
The Western Mass. Genealogy Society will host two Genealogy Computer Classes a month starting in September from 6 - 8 p.m. on the third and fourth Thursdays of the month at Senior Center, 954 Main St. There is a $10 fee to take the computer class or $20 for full membership with the Western Mass. Genealogy Society.

INJURED WORKERS
A free walk-in help session for injured workers will take place on Oct. 13 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Chicopee Public Library, 449 Front St. The session is sponsored by the Alliance for Injured Workers, a project of the Western Mass. CHICOPEE HISTORICAL COMMISSION
The guest speaker at the Sept. 16 meeting of the Chicopee Historical Society is historian Stephen Jendrysik, who serves as the chair of the Chicopee Historical Commission. Following a brief business meeting Jendrysik's presentation titled "The Life and Death of Factory Village" will review the rich history of Chicopee. The program begins at 7 p.m. in the Edward Bellamy Homestead located at 91-93 Church St. The public is invited to attend and following the program refreshments will be served.

POLISH CULTURAL SOCIETY
The Society of Polish American Culture will present Chicopee Historian Stephen Jendrysik to speak on Polish Americans in Chicopee 1940s to 1950s at the opening monthly meeting on Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chicopee Lodge Elks, 431 Granby Rd. ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL
The Simsbury Woman's Club will host its annual Arts and Crafts Festival Sept. 19 - 20. Area artists who will be among the exhibitors are jeweler Cindy White from West Springfield, bee keepers Rosemary and Donald Gowdy from Valley View Acres in Westfield. The festival will take place on Iron Horse Boulevard in the center of Simsbury, Conn., from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days, rain or shine. Admission and parking are free. Proceeds make it possible for the club to award large scholarships to one adult woman and two high school students and to give substantial funds to area charitable organizations. The Simsbury Woman's Club is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.

PULASKI DAY
The Polish Pulaski Club announced that on Oct. 11 at noon there will be a ceremony at Pulaski Park in the center of Easthampton to commemorate Pulaski Day. There will be a wreath laying ceremony and a prayer offered by Fr. James Sipitkowski, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. The Polish American Memorial Calvary Squadron from East Longmeadow will attend wearing replicas of Polish uniforms from 1939. Their mission is to exhibit their Polish heritage and see to it the coming generations are aware of Polish tradition and history.
A Taste of Judaism
"A Taste of Judaism: Are You Curious?" is the title and theme for a free, three-session class being offered for adults who would like to explore Judaism's relevance in today's world. Students are invited to learn about Jewish perspectives on topics of spirituality, ethics and community. Classes will take place on Wed. evenings, Oct. 14, 21 and 28 from 7:30 - 9 p.m. There is no enrollment fee, but space is limited and registration is required. Classes will take place at Sinai Temple, 1100 Dickinson St. Rabbi Mark Shapiro will be the teacher.
